Let's put it to rest---Post photos of Verizons PLEASE!

There has been so much controversy on the color of the v9m for Verizon. Can people that own the phone PLEASE post photos of their specific phone (NOT photos that they found on the internet that are stock) so that we can let this subject rest? When posting photos of your specific phone, please also include where you purchased it since that also seems to be a huge subject. After that, let's hear more about the mechanics of the phone and let the color issue rest!

There is no need to judge a picture. I don't understand why everyone is questioning the color of the RAZR2. I just got it on Tuesday and there is only 1 color for Verizon. Per MY VERY OWN EYES and Motorola's Website the color is DARK PEARL GRAY. NOT brown, not expresso. Sorry, I just don't understand why the big dispute...

Photo's may not help ,if the picture is dark it will look black. When I looked at it in the store it looked black but when you get it in different lighting it is not black it is a dark bronze/expresso color.

lol, such strong words from a guy that's totally wrong. Dark Pearl Gray is the color that is available for Sprint, and probably Alltel. Verizon's color is Espresso. There's a lot of color controversy over the phone. In my local Verizon store, I saw it with my own eyes - it was practically gold by the way the light reflected off of it. However, if you go on Verizon's webs...

Which store did you go in where you held this phone that was almost gold? I have called alot of store in NJ and NY and have also visited many in NJ. I called from Mays Landing to New York (probably about 20 stores) and they are all telling me it's black (some are saying with silver and others are saying with bronze). I'd love to visit the store that you saw it in. THANKS!

Posing photos of this phone will not help because it will look different depending on the light it is in. That is why every picture on the web, from the VZW site to cnet to various other reviews looks different. I say the only way to resolve this is to look at the phone in the store in various lights, and even walk outside with it in the daytime light. I know the phone I have is espresso color, dark brown on the metal part, and a bronze glass plate in the front. But if I hold the phone next to something black, then the plate looks like a gunmetal color because of the black shadow.

I say there are so many other issues with this phone besides the color. You should get the phone at your local store, regardless of what color you think it...

Totally agree with you. The cons far out weigh the pretty looks. Mine got sent back yesterday. Me and my 2 year old E815 are together again.

Yep I couldn't stop obsessing about whether or not to keep this phone, or even say with VZW for that matter. I stopped by the store this morning and returned the Razr 2 and purchased the new Chocolate instead. I did not do an exchange, but rather a full return so I can have yet another full 30 days to try out the Chocolate.

So far I really like it. The screen is a bit smaller, 2" instead of 2.2" on the Razr 2, but it's smaller overall as well. I love the lights around the scroll wheel! They light up blue and red when you get a call! Sure the Razr 2 is super thin, but the wideness of it just didn't feel comfortable in my hand. This is my first slider phone, so it's going to take a little bit of getting used to the form and the scro...

I hope I'm not stuck with my E815 for good, but it wouldn't bother me to stay with it for awhile longer. I was excited about the LG 8350 but then we all got to see the pictures and I'm disappointed in that one as well. In all honesty I would love to have an Iphone. I know that sounds so teenage but its true. But on the Verizon side my hopes now rest on the LG vx-10000. We'll see

My brother has the E815 and loves it. He won't upgrade until it breaks.

I did see pics of the LG8350 on VZW's site and it does look pretty fugly. I went to the store this morning but didn't see it so I guess they don't have it in the stores yet.

I woulnd't mind an iPhone myself, especially with the lower $399 price tag. But I just can't bring myself to switch to At&t. If I was gonna switch, I'd go to Tmobile. I was also considering the LG Shine, which is also a slider, but it's GSM overseas phone and I don't know if I am willing to pay $400 for an unlocked phone that I can't purchase insurance for.

I've seen some pics of the LG VX10000, which I guess is an upgrade to the enV. My hubby has the EnV and loves it. He can't live w...

WOW! I am totally rethinking the Razr 2 and am seriously considering the new chocolate. I went to verizon today to look at it. I just don't know if it's a phone that I'd want to keep for two years PLUS the price is up to $129.99 after rebate, right? Keep us posted on how you like the new chocolate because I am definately considering it.

ALSO, considering the ROKR at this point. It says it will have ITUNES so it will be very much like the IPHONE without the touch screen, right?

Well if you have the NE2 upgrade, you get another $100 off, so the phone is only $30.

I have not heard anything about iTunes on the Rokr. Since At&t has partnered with Apple on the iPhone, I would think their version of the Rokr, if they get it would have that capability. Not sure if VZW would have it.

If you want to know what the feel and look of the Rokr would be like, just go to your local Tmobile or At&t store and check out the Rizr. I think it's going to be almost identical, except maybe the Rokr might be a tad thinner and it will be silver.

Maybe I like cheesy gimmicky stuff, but a big selling factor on the new Chocolate for me is the flashing lights around the scroll wheel. At the store this morning, I looked at the demo ...

My Gosh, this is getting out of hand. Here we are grown ups unable to determine what color a phone is. I bought the Motorola2 V9m (Verizon) when it came out on 9/4/07. The color is Bronze in the middle metal area and Dark brown on surrounding area. You can call it "mahogani" brown.

-In certain shades the phone may look black or whatever color your eyes will tell you. However, this phone is Bronze & Brown on Verizon edition. I've seen it in Circuit City and other Verizon stores here in Evansville, IN.

-I guess the simple fact that most people are unable to truely determine the color of this phone shows that Verizon put in a lot of technology & intelligence into paiting this phone. Atractive product is part of Marketing!
