mp3s from computer to ringtones on the phone?

I transfer some mp3s to my 2gig micro SD card, I would like to use the mp3s to set as the ringtone on the phone, how do I do this? please help, thanks.

you can't do it that way, but here's how:

- with verizon's software; even if you move something to your micro (or have an existing micro with stuff on it) it usually wont be viewable.

1. you have to send them to yourself as a mms. once you create a ringtone file, (its best if you shorten it up to 15 or so seconds), send your phone a mms from an email like so: 5405553333@mms.verizon.net (i DONT think this is the exact end address you have to use; im at work right now and don't have it written down but send an MMS, not txt to the email account you are going to use and it will show up in your inbox and the correct address.

or 2. go to myxertones.com, and there are a few sites like that where they send you an MMS with the tone you like ...
