I work for a Cingular (AT&T) authorized agent. I just looked at our phone pricing sheet, which says this phone is launching at the end of August and that the price has yet to be determined. The phones aren't always launched when the pricing sheet says they will be, but I wouldn't think it would be any later than September.

There's not much to prove. All it says is "SE W580i - Launches late August." Under the price column, it says TBD. I could post the whole document, but I'm not going to just in case that would violate any agreement my store has with AT&T since we have to log into a secure website just to get the pricing sheet. Sorry, I'm not taking any chances because I like to be employed.

I just saw an updated price list which said the release date for AT&T is scheduled for mid-October. The price listed was $129.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate. Of course this far in advance, that price is subject to change.

You said that you work for AT&T. Would you please put up a posting when this phone is available? I have been waiting to get a new phone and I am able to upgrade next week, but I want to wait for this phone. Also when it does drop would you be able to post the prices. For instance, how much would it be for me to upgrade to this phone and sign a 2 year contract?

I'd like to know too... just got service, but the phone i got is garbage. I've got till 9.7.07 to replace it. Any possibility the phone comes out by then?

From what I hear, it should be out by then. I talked to an AT&T rep. and he said it should be out the end of August or the beginning of September. The phone I have sucks too. I can upgrade anytime, just waiting on this phone! 😁
