Non-tech guy: what does NO WIFI mean?

do i really need wifi? i assume i can still get email on this phone right? so what does it mean that i cant get wifi?

it means that you cannot connect to a wireless high speed internet. like the wireless internet in starbucks. that is wifi. it is a central area that allows wireless connection to a highspeed internet. i think that is simple but understandable. hope this helps

the 8830 should have a data package that you can get through your wireless provider. probably some sort of blackberry plan that allows unlimited internet as well as your emails. as long as it is like what we do with at&t then you can have up to 10 email accounts plus a specific blackberry email. you won't be doing high speed like wifi but i think that one has evdo which is verizon's version of 3g high speed internet access (broadband wirelessly). just be careful, if you get out of EVDO coverage, you will be at crawling speeds. you can get on the internet i guess is what i am saying. you just have to add the package
