Weird GSM/2G glitching voice quality
I am a recently converted AT&T customer (having had Verizon for years). I love my Q9 ... but ... I think I have found some kind of glitch with it. I would like to know if this "glitch" is truly a glitch or if it is just to be expected on a GSM (non-3G) network. By the way, I am on my 2nd Q9 and both seemed to have this issue.
When I am on a call and 3G is engaged, life is good ... and call quality is excellent. However, I have noticed on practically every GSM/EDGE/non-3G call that there is a brief dropout every minute or so. It only lasts about 1/4 of a second, but it is noticeable and it does mute out the person you are on the phone with if they are speaking at the time.
