Push Email Syncing from HOME?

Here are the modes that appear to be supported for push email in Windows Mobile 6 on the Q9h with a data plan:

1. Email direct from a pop3 account.
2. Email from a supported service like gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.
3. Exchange or Notes corporate server (from work).
4. Microsoft Direct Push server (from work).
5. Activesync - connect via USB

Well, I would think my scenario is common, yet it's not covered? I have my pop3 email on my desktop computer in Microsoft Outlook (which is on 24/7). I would like it to push email to my Q9h wirelessly, not through USB and not some corporate server I don't have. I know Blackberries can do this, so what's up? Am I missing something here?

Can't you have Outlook autoforward your email to the email address that comes with AT&T MediaNet?

Sure, but then it won't be in sync with my home email and replies will go to my home email! That would be fine if I was just using it to keep an eye on things, but to actually use email on the device I need them to be in sync like on a Blackberry. I am pretty sure it's possible, I just can't find instructions on how to set it up.

OK, but just press the email button, and add the POP3 account, have the phone client not remove the email from the server. The biggest problem is you would have to have Outlook stop polling for email when you are away from the desktop, right?

That would be slightly better. Replies would go to the right place. But it still would not keep the devices in sync. I need push email.

The last suggestion I have is that there are software packages out there that may do what you want, like PushEffect or Chatter, or OneMail?

Emoze was recommended on another forum and it does the job. I would not sync Contacts with it as there are some bugs with that, but I can still use ActiveSync to sync other things while using Emoze for push email. And it's free!

I just received my Q9h the other day and it came with a program called "Xpress mail". I put in my server settings and enabled a push sync feature.
Now I get my e-mail to my desktop and phone.
Do you have that program???

slowandlong1 are you using Outlook or Outlooks express?
I have Vista and I'm using Windows Mail... I was curious if it worked with the native email program for Vista.

I have an AOL account that I log in thru different
browsers ie: mozilla or netscape. Currently I have
XP but will soon upgrade to Vista. I use Outlook express at work...but I am not a big fan of Outlook it doesn't even have a spam filter.
