I called AT&T and asked them about the release date for it. They dont have anything about it on their inventory list, and that went up to early September. So maybe it wont be coming out on the 24th? I hope it does, Ive waited long enough for this phone.

I had called a AT&T Rep a month or so ago and asked about this phone. She said she didn't know, but would call me if she found anything out. She called me last week and said they got an internal email that said it would be out in August. No Date, No Price, but definately August.

All's well and good, but is the phone JR is selling support AT&T's HSDPA? They don't mention the 3g spec's, only gsm and edge.

The Q9 (Q9h) has not been approved by the FCC yet so its unlikely that this is the US version. Also the fact that they do not specify which HSDPA radio is used 2100 vs 850/1900 also brings out a tell tale sign. Lastly the focus on Edge says EU version.

So don't waste your cash.

Our AT&T Dealer price sheet still indicates 8/24 as the release date. This was confirmed on a conference call on Tuesday. Cost is expected to be $399, so expect price with activation of around $299.99 though AT&T.com and $149 through Lets Talk. And yes, the phone has 3.6mbps HSDPA.

My local store just informed me that they were notified in the last few days that the release date has been pushed to mid-September.

Can anyone else confirm or refute this?

Sorry if the link doesn't work. Go to the AT&T wireless site and search for Motorola Q9 Global and a link will come up for a PDF rebate sheet.
