Wi-Fi Connectivity Question

Does anyone know if there are air time charges or any type of charge if you browse the net on Wi-Fi, if you don't have a data plan? ( say on home wireless network)

I was told that sprint is completely out of the loop when you use the wifi. It does not go thru sprints network.
