Is it worth "downgrading" to this phone?

I currently have an LG 8600 through Verizon. It gets horrible reception, so I'm looking for a phone with that one important feature and the W385 seems to be the best from the comments.

My reluctance is that I'll be getting a replacement phone that's significantly heavier and bulkier in the pocket, losing the mp3 player and getting lower quality camera and screen - and I'd be extending my contract for 2 years to give up these features. Granted, except for the weight and bulk factors, the other features aren't that important - but it still bothers me that I would be paying to get less. (The upgrade price through Verizon for the W385 is free, so I'm paying by having to extend my contract.)

Motorolas are known for fantastic reception! But this phone seems to have some real issues with the battery life and it seems to kill batteries real quick. I had 2 phones and like 5 batteries in a matter of 3 months. Verizon ended up switching us to the KRZR and I like it so far. I have to have a motorola because of the reception in my area...I did not even have luck with LG enV.
