Poor Internet performance

I have had my i760 for about three weeks. I am in Orange County, CA, where my old E815 almost never showed 1X vs. EVDO, and my EVDO laptop card almost always connected to the BroadbandAccess network rather than 1X network.

My i760 shows EV all day long, UNLESS I open IE and go on line. It almost always falls back to 1X after a minute or two of being on line. IT did the same thing today while in San Diego 90 miles from here. Bummer!

I tried to access Yahoo mail to send one message, and after eight minutes of working through the pages, I gave up.

For this reason and general slowness, alarm not working if phone is off (my E815 could be off and would turn on for the alarm), the goofy button to start calls opening the slider, and some ot...

I am returning my phone today, after three weeks. I used to use Blackberry and this WM6 is not as easy to use as BB. Internet is super slow and won't stay connected and I have to initiate connection almost everytime I try to do anything. Sending MMS really slow as well and it fails half the time.

To make it even better, it is now prompting me that a new storage card has been inserted 3-4 times a day. I have 1 GB Micro SD in my phone but it keeps telling me that it found a new one. I don't konw whether it is a bad connection issue or a undocumented windows feature.

Fun phone but not a good phone is what I have to say about this phone. I think I am going to pick up a Pearl. I had a BB Pearl with T-mobile. Phone was great but bad ...
