Whats everyone's Battery Life?
I am getting about 24 hours of standby time with maybe 45 minutes of talk time and around 75 txt msgs before my battery is completely dead. I will be returning this phone Monday, due to the battery life. What is everyone else getting?

Weird. I am returning the phone today. It lasts me less than 24 hours. I finish chargign around 5:00 PM, I turn it off when I go to sleep. (12:00 AM until around 8:00 AM) When I wake up in the AM I make MAYBEEEE 45 minutes worth of calls in the day. i send/receive maybe around 50-75 txt msgs, and I didnt really use any of the other features of the phone. By 2:00 the battery is dead.

For anyone who didn't know, the initial charge is very important. When you get the phone, DO NOT CHARGE IT. Run it down to dead, THEN charge it all the way. I did this and am getting very good battery life. I don't talk a ton, but I have been screwing around a lot taking pictures, texting, video, and my battery life is fine.

I reset my Timers every morning when testign and I do about 4-5000 mins a month so I usually kill a battery in one day almost everyday.
So - Yesterday which was the first day with a new charge on a new phone , I got 2 hours and 8 mins till low batt and then about 10 mins of low batt warnings and then it killed itself.
I fully charged it last night and will begin testing again soon.
I am also doing the same testing on the KRZR to see if my wife would like that better. I wish the Maxx was a bit better and had less issues so at least there would be more choices of good phones. The 8700 seems a bit weird in the hinge and keypad but maybe we can get used to it for everything else it does so well.

i did the inital charge and ran it dead then charged it for 12 hours and my battery life sucks i get maybe 75 txts and about 45 minutes of talk i was forced to switch from the 8600 due to insurance being out of stock they sent me this one this runs extremely hot i was charging and talking and it overheated. never had this prob with the 8600 although i love the phone other than bat and front screen im taking myn in tm to get it tested hopefully this will resolve this issue

I am running my phone on 1X. I got 2 hours 42 minutes talk time on the last charge. I actually set the phone up to talk to my home phone to run the battery down and time it for the last hour of "talk time". The one disconcerting thing about the 8700 (as compared with 4500) is that the talk time between one battery line and dead is pretty short. I am hoping this next charge on a drained battery will up the talk time. Last charge lasted five days, with phone probably on all day long for 4 of the five days. I don't text often and only sent a few pix.
