Help Me Please

I just spent about $400 on the phone, plan, 2G memory and an SD card reader. I have an old iMac G3 and I was told that I can use the card reader to put songs and pictures onto my phone and use the songs as ringtones. I spent all this money and spent hours and hours last night trying to figure out how to use my music as ringtones but I cant figure it out. The problem I am having, is that I can drag and drop my music onto the card reader and listen to the songs on my phone, but It wont allow me to set them as ringtones. I have tried everything I can think of but my imagination hasn't been able to go far lately. I also havn't been able to get pictures to show up after transfering them, but I was told that pictures might just be too big and I mi...

I have no problem doing this, but i use bluetooth transfer to my ibook. Don't know if it has anything to do with how the files are uploaded, but if your imac doesn't have bluetooth (I think not), you get get a (very) cheap usb bluetooth adapter. I did that on my old ibook that didn't have bluetooth, and worked fine.

Don't worry, your problem can be fixed. Some more details about what you have already tried will help. Let me know...

Well the guy at Radio Shack told me that I could take songs from my computer, and use the full version of that song as a ring tone. The last thing I could think of the other day was to edit the song and then see if I could set it as a ring tone. So I opened a song in iMovie and edited the song to 30 seconds and then uploaded it onto my phone. Now it can be used as a ring tone, because it is 30 seconds long. It cant be anything over 30 seconds such as 30.01 seconds, god knows why. But I'm dissapointed becuase I was expecting to use the full song as a ring tone but now I see the song has to be 30 seconds or less. I also was able to put some pictures on my phone that were all related in size but still not very big. I'm still not sure if that wa...

I'm confused too. Half the things you are saying don't make sense. You're talking about songs and wallpaper in the same sentence. If you meant pictures, file size shouldn't be a problem, I've put plenty of 300k plus pics on my phone.

Why would you want a ringtone longer than 30 seconds anyway? Those things are annoying enough...why prolong the misery?

In the future, don't take anything "the guy at Radio Shack" tells you as the honest truth...most of them have no idea, they just want/need to make a sale.

Do your research, ask questions here and on other forums, and you'll find out what a phone can really do for you.

The v3xx should do everything you need, it's just something about the way you are doing it that is wrong, an...

You can't use FULL songs as ringtones on your V3xx. You can use tones that are about 200KB in size. If the tone exceeds that, you wont be able to use it. That being said, if you want to transfer your own ringtones from your computer to be used as a customer tone on your v3xx, you'll have to trim the song.
