Major bug already? Problem with charging phone set to vibrate..

Based on my post on sprintusers it seems I am not alone in having a problem with my M1 while charging on vibrate mode. Every Sanyo I have owned in the last 4 years has switched to a ringer in this situation. The M1 not only doesn't switch to ring but it doesn't vibrate either! So if you are like me and have your phone on vibrate all of the time and you put it on the charger your phone will not ring or vibrate to indicate a call is coming in, it is completely silent!

Hopefully this will be fixed quickly by a firmware update but wanted to give the warning out to potential buyers if this is a big deal for you.

Some phones do that! That is normal!! Sanyo made it do that. I won't let the phone ring nor vibrate when charging. Motorola phones wont vibrate. It's for your security of electrical shocks or explosion of battery!

That what I know of it.

Firmware won't chaange that!

I know that some phones will ring when charged. I don't know why Sanyo just let it ring when charging the phone.

How it is normal for the phone to not do anything when charging on vibrate mode?

The phone should either switch to ring from vibrate like all other Sanyo phones or vibrate like other phones.

If it was a safety thing why does the phone ring when charging on a ringer mode?

This is definitely a bug and an annoying one at that.

My Fusic does this too... When it's charging, ALL pre-loaded ringers are practically muted... you can hear them slightly, but it's like on MOST Sanyos, when you have it on vibrate-only, and they still ring at a very, very LOW volume...

on the Fusic with firmware v09, even if the phone was set to the loudest ringer setting, it mutes it...

makes you wonder what they were smoking when they configured that firmware revision...

Yeah, I don't mind that it uses the lowest ringer level, just give me something. A low ringer is better then no sound at all.

Well if you leave the M1 on a loud ringer it will ring loud. It's been that way on my last 3 Sanyo's as well. On the other sanyo's if you leave it on vibrate it will switch to the low ringer until you remove it from the charger. The M1 on vibrate doesn't do anything but flash it's screen while charging.

I see what you're saying... I never use JUST vibrate, unless I'm in the theatre or something. seems easy enough to just push the volume rocker key to move it from "vibrate only", while you charge..

maybe they decided that since it's on vibrate mode, that people wouldn't want to hear the ringer?
