Conditioning the 680s Battery???

I have heard of conditioning the battery but not sure if it makes sense for the first 2 charges to completely not use it and let it go dead while turned on. So when I first get the phone, turn it on, let it die, recharge it, and repeat?

Does anyone know what would be the ideal way to condition the battery.

This is a question from one of the reviews that was posted that was not that clear:

In case you are still looking, this is from another posting from Palm Technical Support regarding the battery reset recommendation and mentioned by many.

"If you encounter a poor battery life on your Treo 680 and you have to recharge very often even if not using the phone function, the issue might have been caused by an incorrect first charging of the device. Please follow the steps below to solve the issue:

1. Connect your Treo to the charger.

2. Remove the battery from the Treo and wait for at least one minute.

3. Remove the SIM card from the device.
