Black Jack or BlackBerry Pearl?

I'm interested in a smart phone mostly for the PDA functionality, such as calendar, to-do list, appointments, etc... I've seen the Phone scoop review of the Pearl which showed off the keyboard's flimsyness, which concerns me. I currently don't have text messaging on my phone plan, so thoes features are not a big deal to me.

So which would work best as mostly Phone with PDA features and Multimedia features comming above messaging and e-mail features?

Is the Black Jack's battery really that aweful? I generally charge my phone every night anyway

I work at a cingular retail store and I would go with the Nokia E62 before either of those two,, reason 1. I can't stand using the pearls suretype keyboard, 2. have had several customers come back with viruses or freezing issues or wm5 crashing.
The Edge class 11 on the E62 is almost as fast for internet as windows explorer is with HSDPA (high speed data network)
only downer is the it doesn't have a camera, but it does have the functionality to send and receive them.

Is the E62 the same size as the Blackjack? I love nokia, but i don't want the phone to be too big for a front pants pocket

The Nokia is a lot wider... I would do a compare on the site just to see what the differences are between the two phones. I'd go for the Blackjack, not only for its size but for its features.

ok here is my take on it
i myself also work at the retail store
and i carried the e62 for the last month
problem is it lacks functions and when u exit a webpage u have to reload windows almost everytime to get back to it ...i now have the blackjack and its great
battery life sucked at the beginning but who cares u get 2 batteries and an extra to charge the second one
also
after about 2 charges to each battery it last me the whole entire day as long as u don't use cingular video all day long u will be fine

but windows is so much easier to use than symbian and its faster to

so do yourself a favor im a HUGE NOKIA guy but i had to go samsung because its 3g and its smaller and fits great in my hand
plus i can actually text qui...

Today in the store(I work at a cingular retail store) with a blackjack in one hand and the e62 in the other i loaded www.cnn.com quicker on the edge device(e62) than on the blackjack,
this was the icing on the cake that agian NOKIA is the better PDA for internet and data use the Blackjack might be"3G" but compairing the symbian OS to the WindowsMobile5 (smartphone edition) is like compairing windowsXP to Mac OS X

where exactly are u located at
im in charlotte and my 3g works fine
its faster than the e62 most of the time
can't say everytime
but
it also depends on if the device has had a fresh reboot every few days

your ridiculous to say the e62 is better
its already outdated be4 it even came out
nokia is great don't get me wrong i still use my Ngage from time to time
but in this case
Cingular needs to let some of these sweet nokias get thru the testing phase because there are some tight nokias out there
N series for example
but to each his own

dont listen to licor, he doesnt know what he is talking about....he states, "i carried the e62 for the last month
problem is it lacks functions and when u exit a webpage u have to reload windows almost everytime to get back to it". An e62 runs symbian, not windows....BIG DIFFERENCE THERE.
