chime while charging

I am a band new Blackjack user and I have to say....I love the phone!! So far my only complaint is that if I use a wall charger, I get a constant chime and the screen stays activated. If I use the car charger or its connected to the computer then nothing.

Its the same chime that you hear when you connect the power source.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Jake

I also have a constant chime while having my BlackJack connected to the wall charger. My phone never seems to charge (must be pulling as much juice as it is getting). The only way I can get my phone to charge is to turn it off completly (even turning the bluetooth and phone off in Wireless Mgr does not help). I have tried stopping all tasks but that does not seem to stop the chime. As soon as I unplug the wall charger, the chime stops.

I don't have any problems with the chime...i mean as soon as i plug it in to charge, it chimes once, but other than that it charges fine without a constant chime.

I am currently having the same problem. I will plug my phone in and it won't charge, but just keep chiming incessantly. I think that maybe the charger cord is faulty.

My phone is almost dead and I can't even get the back off the phone to switch out the batteries. It's really annoying!! Any tips on getting the back off of the phone???

I am taking the phone and charger in to a store today and I will keep you guys posted!

I had this problem when using a faulty charger (3rd party -- not Samsung brand). I was on a business trip and grabbed the wrong charger. My phone died at 8:30 on a Sunday night, so Wal-Mart was my only option. :-( Just like you, I had a pretty constant chime, but it never charged, even with the phone turned off.

I've never had problems with any other chargers, even other 3rd party ones, so there must have been something wrong with that one.
