Unlock Blackjack in India

Hey Guys,

I got my blackjack unlocked in US before i travelled to India. Now when i put in a Sim card here in India, it doesnt get activated...it says no service. Isnt the phone supposed to switch between bands or do i need to configure it to the band used in India. If the later how do i do that.

Hey --- I just got a BJ as well from cingular --- got it unlocked in india --- works like a charm. Cant seem to get the GPRS/EDGE working --- so no Internet. ☹️

-Let me know if u ever get the data working.
