I was an early user of the N75 and really wanted to like it but call quality was flaky along with several other issues. Was wondering if there's been a firmware upgrade ... what is the current firmware version being shipped?
Thank you pennyless10. I must have had a bad early phone. That's the firmware version mine had and that's the same version a lot of other folks had that are happy with the phone about the same time I got mine.
if you are having problems like you posted, debrand the phone to original nokia firmware, not the cingular version. i bought my phone from cingular, and it was unstable and sucked. i used nokia software updater to install the factory firmware from nokia, with no cingular crap on there, and the phone is normal now.
Im not sure what version is better. This is my first unlocked phone. And I just got it so I havent had time to find out what it does. But so far im happy with it. The battery I got is the BL-5BT. The guide book says it supports A2DP. I ordered mine from datavis.com. The only problem I had from them was I had no communication from them. Shipping was fast. I had it in 3 days. Brand new as stated.
Mine is an N75 Cingular branded phone. I have dropped calls, static, white noise, popping, screen freezes, need to reboot regularly, etc. all the time. If this firmware update would help, I'd be all for it, otherwise I'm about ready to chuck this phone in the trash.
Current: V 10.1.273
Purchased phone from AT&T corporate store (Seal Beach CA) in early June 2007.
