Nokia N75
Battery Life: A Concern
While I've heard that the battery life on the v3xx is good, I've heard virtually nothing but bad things about the battery life with the N75.
I'm sure you can guess my big selling point for a new phone!
Some questions for existing N75 users:
Would "switching off" the 3G "autoroam" feature save some battery life? I could live with EDGE until I needed to "enable" 3G for loftier pursuits. I'm thinking this might help the battery life.
Does dimming the screen display help save on the battery? Again, just a thought...
Any feedback or tips would be helpful!
i have been experiencing same hissing noise and battery life is short and unpredictable one day it was on full all day next day when i turned it on it went down to 3 bars. metal ring around the camera lens little loose. i mentioned earlier no one paid attention but this VERY IMPORTANT when you insert sim it stays there as soon as you put battery it clicks out of the lock/latch i tried many other ways moment you put battery it comes out loose i would want my sim card locked so that it doesn't move around!! battery keeps it in wont let it come out. not to happy at all at $250 plus tax minus $50 rebate. took it to cingy store here and guys told me that yes that hissing sound is not right he turned his blackberry on, no noise. i think...

I'm wondering if that has something to do with the phone "switching" between network modes. I know 3G challenge the battery life.
MENU, SETTINGS, CONFIG. , CONNECTION , Then go down to Packet DATA. Then change packet data conn. from WHEN AVALIABLE, to WHEN NEEDED. There ya go.
