BAD NEWS ReBranding Deadline Today, N75 HELD BACK
Accorfing to AT&T/Cingular Today was the deadline for any phones to be released with the Cingular Brand on them, any phones released after today will have to be re-branded and re programmed with AT&T software stalling their release. If this is accurate then the N75 will not be released til May or June as some have said. Anyone who owns a phone with Cingular branding will notice in the next few months a change on the display, switching to AT&T instead of saying Cingular. Currently all phones now activated from today will say AT&T ON THE DISPLAY

I don't get how that could possibly stall this thing any longer...I mean how long have these f****** idiots at cingular known about this rebranding thing. I hope they are not so stupid as to think the iphone will save them. I mean there are sales reps on the cingular forum talking about how they have won these phones. I would think if they are gonna have sales reps walking around with these phones that they would have to releasing them soon. But what do I know, I'm just a former employee who was smart enough to quit after college.

That sounds great and a reasonable reason But why would they have not released the Cingy branded phones earlier, if that was the only thing holding the release up and today was the deadline then why not release early and get some on the market then rebrand for today so tomorrow they are AT&T.
The other thing is if the phone was returned for rebranding then we may see the AT&T one tomorrow "I hope" although I have been told we could be looking at up to 60 days.

What I don't get is why Cingular needs to be rebranded at all. I have a much more negative brand image of AT&T compared to Cingular.

Who cares, if it has AT&T or Cingular, We want the phone. I have been waiting sooo long for this phone, its really pissing me off now, i'm tired of waiting 😈
