2) what is the way around the pda plan , sort of a newbie , but am more than interested in this phone.

Cingy considers phones with a keypad a PDA device, phones that are a phone with internet capability are considered smartphones eg 2125, 3125.
The theory is that you would use less data and not do emails and web browsing as much. If you tether a device the rates are the same PDA or Smartphones.

That's why I started this thread - the rebate form currently does not require you to sign up on a data plan to get the rebate for the N75. Its the only data device on the list for which a data plan is not required to get the rebate.
The problem with comparing the N75 to the 3125 (beyond the obvious) is 3G. I've been told by several cingular reps that due to the way 3G authenticates it intrinsically uses more data than...
