Palm Treo 750
OPERA MINI
I recently switched from the HTC 8125 to the Palm Treo 750, and I am having trouble installing the Opera Mini Web Browser. On the 8125 it would automatically go to the Midlet Manager and I would run it from their, but on the Treo I get the following error: "There is no application associated with "Mini Opera". Run the application first, then open this file from within the application." There is only one file that I can download, and this is the file I try opening. I cant think of anything else I can do. If anyone has instructions on how to get Opera Mini installed on a Treo 750, I would greatly appreciate it! This Web Browser runs so much smoother and faster than the PIE, so I want to make sure I can get this installed. Thanks so much in adv...

From what I understand (I just got the 750 as my company phone so I'm still learning) you need to use ActiveSync on the computer to install applications to the phone. You actually download opera mini on your computer, double click on the install and then activesync connects with your treo and installs it. That's how I've been doing it so far.

I understand that, but I keep getting an error. Ive installed other browsers, but I dont like any as much as Opera Mini. Please let me know if you get it installed. I think it might be my computer. Although, I installed it on my 8525 last week.

May there possibility opera mini is not compatible with the 750? I downloaded opera mobile to the 750 and it works great, although it is a purchased item and not free like opera mini.

Must be. I downloaded Opera Mobile too. It works alright, but Im not in a UMTS area so its kinda slow. The Opera Mini downloads half the data, so its much faster. If you download Opera Mobile, and dont register, you dont have to pay for it. FYI.

I down loaded and it appeared to install just fine. However, when I go to run I get an error about not having enough memory. Only other non-stock software I have installed is google maps. Do I just need to add an SD Card?
