listening to music through phone's speakers...

I have the vx8300 right now and when playing music from the phone's speakers the quality is very good.

How is the music quality on the vx9400 without headphones?

I'd greatly appreciate some feedback.

It's okay. Verizon loaned me a 9400 for the show this week, and about all I've been using it for is music in my hotel room. (Too much work to watch TV!)

The quality isn't tops - an I'm hardly an audiophile - but it's usable. I think part of the low audio quality might be that I'm downloading songs from the VCast store, which I know are at a lower bitrate than standard MP3s.

It gets pretty loud. There's more distortion at the loudest setting, but that's expected, and it's not that bad. The quietest setting is even pretty loud (I'm actually worried it's too loud and I might be bothering the folks in the next room.) I wish there were more steps to the volume control.
