Java Programs - No Data Access ?!

Jan 12, 2007, 4:05 AM
For some reason I have been unable to change the permissions in regards to my Java Applications - Gmail and Google Maps. For the programs to work, they need to be granted permission to access the network (always, never ask). Unfortunately, even though the option to change this seems to be there (highlight program, choose options, choose permissions) the choice is locked and set to "No, never ask"

Although I can still check my email within T-Zones for $5/month, I would like to do so in Java format because it is a much smoother and faster interface with a better graphical interface.

From what I have read in the google forums, the "ADP" settings need to be changed - but this is not allowed for the user, nor does it seem doable from Tmob...

Samsung & TMobile have told me that TMobile does not support the application on the T629 "at this time"

T-Mobile blocks 3rd-party access, as a measure to stop abuse of their network.

Have you found a solution to this problem? Can you change permissions on your java applications?
