BlackBerry 8703e

Can the Gmail APP be downloaded onto the 8703e like it can be on the Blackberry 8830? I have the Moto Q and am constantly having problems with the wireless sync and getting my email. If I can download the Gmail APP on the 8703e, I can then bypass Verizon's wireless sync entirely and eliminate the problem. I would go ahead and get the 8830, however, I do not like the keyboard on it. Does anyone have experience with this?
