Here is the thing. I love the phone, maybe not so much the software. The problem I am having is with video. I was able to get 40 meg music videos onto the phone, but it wont let me play it back. I played regular .avi and mpeg videos, but neither have worked. What is the deal? These same files worked on my brother's Treo 700w.

Windows Media Player Mobile only plays windows video files (.wmv)and .3gp (the video files you record with the phone's camera) with manufacturer settings. If you want to play a myriad of video files I suggest you download TCPMP CORE Media player, a free program, available at downloads.com I believe.

I tried installing directly from the creator's site, but it wouldn't let me because it said it wasn't compatible.

It should work (it works on my 2125) so my guess is that you didn't download the right version.

Scroll down to TCPMP for Windows Mobile and download:

tcpmp.smartphone.0.72RC1.exe

if you want to install TCPMP while your phone is synching with your PC or

tcpmp.smartphone.0.72RC1.cab

if you want to install TCPMP from your phone.

I suggest installing this program on your memory card.

Not only does TCPMP play more files than WMP 10 Mobile, it plays video in true full screen, filling the screen with the video.

Did you get that message trying to install it both ways (via Activesync & the CAB file)?

Have you tried asking on Hofo.com?

Your best bet for an answer is probably the T-Mobile PDA/Smartphone forum.

Good luck.

Everyone?

Sorry, websites aren't dedicated to devices that use this OS just because people hate it.

TCPMP works fine on my 2125 and there are plenty of other people that have no problem with this program.

A soft reset may clear up the problems.
