MP3 player on slvr7c

I just bought the slvr7c. I cannot download any music from my windoews media player to my mp3 player on my phone. I have tried the USB cable and the micro sd memory card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi... I have the Slvr L7c from MetroPCS, FYI. This is how it worked for me: First, I inserted my SD card into the phone and formatted it (Menu>Extras>Phone Status>Storage Devices>Memory Card>Format). Then I removed it from the phone, inserted it into my laptop's card reader and opened My Computer to access the card; I was prompted to format the card in Windows, which I did. I then opened Media Player and loaded the playlist I had predefined for my phone and dragged and dropped my mp3's straight onto the card. No subdirectory, no playlists, just straight songs. I created all of my playlists through the mp3 player on the phone.
