FINALLY USA!

It will most likely come out unlocked on Samung.com but will any carriers pick it up? If you know please tell me. And finally how much will it cost? If anyone has a clue respond back. Thanks

why not cdma

these phones are amazing... but why do cellular companies choose to make a phone in just one service type... why not make each model in both gsm and cdma?.. would be great to have this on sprint

Phone book issue: name doesn't show for incoming text or call depending on the 1 prefix

I'm using this phone in the US and caller id is different for calls and texts.

For instance, a text will show 18005551234 and a call will show 8005551234. If the 1 is in my phonebook, caller id will show the name for texts but not calls. If there's no 1 in the phonebook, texts will not show the name but calls will.

This is weird. Anyone no how to solve this without putting multiple entries in my phone?

Thanks.

Screen Died!

😡
So I've had the phone for about 4 months. Love it! But I had it in my pocket yesterday, like I do every other day. I take it out and slide it up. What do I see? Half the screen is missing!!! So I am I WTF, I close it and open it again, and the screen goes completely dark! The phone is still on and usuable, and the screen you can tell still has power to it, but its blank, black, dead.

So I call up Samsung, and after about 20 minutes they tell me that since it hasn't been released in the US, I have to call UK tech support. I call them up, but I have to have a freaking call card.

Rediculous. I have to go buy a calling card just to get ahold of tech support in the UK to get my phone fixed.

Voice Dial?

Does this phone have voice-activated dialing? If so, is it dependent or independent dialing?

Reversed image on camera

😕

Hi guys,
I hope this is some stupid setting that is causing problems on my D900.
If I use the camera, image is reversed, so the right person is on the left and the left one is on the right!!
If I switch to video, the problem dissapears.
It's all normal.

How can I fix this?

Thank you

Memory Card Problems

😕 Anyone know why my phone keeps saying "not allowed" when I try to look at anything involving my microSD card. It used to work, but ever since I tried putting files on it with a memory card reader it stopped. I have restarted the phone in many different fashions and have removed the card many times. I erased the card completely but still I cannot access it. I cannot move files to it or anything. It did this to me when I first was using it, but after several attempts, it finally said "initialising" over and over. I then restarted the phone and it worked. Now, nothing seems to work in an attempt to get SD card rolling... please HELP! Thanks!

Tip for better sound

I thought my D900 had terrible sound, until I realised the screen protector(film) that came with the phone was over the speaker in the front. I cut the top piece off and now I have much better sound. I spoke to a colleague the other day and realised he also has the D900 and the protector was also over the speaker, when I asked him about the sound he told me it is very soft. I cut his film shorter too and now he is very happy. I know a lot of people take it off as soon as they get the phone but it really helps protecting the screen.

Contacts double on screen

😲

Hi
I got my D900 2 days ago and so far so good.
Battery life will hopefully improved after a couple of charges. Really pity it does not have voice dialing, I got used to it on my SE K700i and it is very useful when driving with a Bluetooth headset.

A problem I have and I hope someone can help me please! I copied my contacts to the phone but if I open contacts then it shows both SIM and Phone together, in other words 2 of each. Is there a setting to show one only (SIM or Phone contacts) All phones I know have this feature.

Thanks in advance

Help! Samsung D900. Problem with opening of web pages

Hi all,

Can someone, please, try to open web page http://www.elmundo.es from his D900? I have tried several times, but it always says, page is too big to be opened. I want to check if this is memory issue, or something else is wrong with my phone. Also, when I close browser, I got message WAP disconnected. The default connection is set to GPRS, so I am not sure why I got this message.

Help.

No mention of the MOTORAZR V3xx or Max???

I just wonder since they were suppose to come out the fourth quarter of 2006.

Motorola was not even mention other then using the Razr as a comparison.

I think the preview is faulted; in that they did not cover all the manufacturers and to leave out Motorola; the leader it pretty biase review in MHO.

Yawn..

Boring, lackluster phones with 4hitty 176x220 screens.. YUCK!! Come on, we're going towards the late 00's now people. Most phones should be QVGA by now. Honestly. 🙄

The only one that caught my attention was the D900. Otherwise the rest is garbage. Even my beloved Sony Ericsson failed to grab my attention. Sad ☚ī¸ Where the hell was Nokia?

Other coming phones... Need info!

Rich, or anyone, I am wondering if anyone has info (specs, features, etc) on any of these handsets possibly coming to sprint:

Samsung M610
Sanyo 7000
Sanyo M1

Also, any better pics of the ICY phones (hybrid cdma/iden phones) would be good too.

Lastly while searching for skus, I found these, listed as current models, wondering if they are anything:

Samsung A500i
Samsung N400i (both blue and silver)
