The two "plastic" bars on the sides of the main screen

Huge props to Mary424 for pointing this out to me and others. I think many of you still don't realize like me but those are not plastic bars that scratch easily. It's a thin plastic film covering the bars, all you have to do is take them off and it looks SO much better. I did it last night and it changes things big time. very sharp now. Again, thankyou Mary for pointing that out. 100% credit to you.

9900 or 9800?

I'm debating which of these phones to get. Personally I prefer the look of the 9800 as well as the position of the internal screen when the clamshell is opened. Other than the slimmer, lighter body and wider internal keyboard are there any major functional advantages to the 9900? The camera functions aren't relevant to me, I've probably used the camera on my cell phone no more than 2 or 3 times in the last year. My main interests would be the reception, call sound quality, speaker phone function. Also the one additional function on the phone that I'm very interested in using is the Navigator program. I do like the better spacing of the function keys on the front of the 9900 but again I do prefer the look, especially of the front, of the 9800...

Am I cursed or what?

All I want to do is play freakin' music on my 9900! I just traded in my 990 for this, and I STILL can't play music! I'm an IT pro, and for some damn reason can't get a simple wma to play on this damn thing!!! What the hell am I doing wrong? I traded in my 1 gig micro sd card for another 1 gig SD card and still have 0 results!! What the heck is going on?

I have done every possible thing imagineable and still can't get it to work.

I have formatted the card in the phone, formatted it on the computer in fat32 format suggested first by Samsung. I have encoded the songs in a 3rd party encoder, and then in windows media player 10. I don't have the essentials kit with cable, but shouldn't have to use that to put simple wma data on the c...

Extended Battery?

I have not received my enV yet, however, I noticed people's comments about the phone not being able to sit properly because of the camera sticking out. My question to you guys was, has anyone bought the extended battery and if so does that help even things out?

Looking forward to this phone!

To: tjbruin; Re: Your Review

Just wanted to mention something. In your review you said.....

"There are two rubberish "panels" on each side of the main screen. DO NOT SCRATCH THEM, it will show."

Well, if your talking about the two small strips next to the screen before the speakers, they actually have a plastic film over them. The film is probably scratched, just peel it off.

Anyway, just thought you might find this helpful.

Thanks

Does navigation come with vcast?

When you pay 15 a month for vcast, do you get the navigator with that, or is that something else that you would also have to pay a monthly fee for?

Question On Front Ok Button (D-Pad)

On the front Ok button with the silver square around it (D-Pad), I notice when you press on the edge or corner that the other side lifts up a bit, almost like it's loose or something. I think maybe this is the design of it, but want to make sure mine is not the only one and make sure it's not actually a problem.

Could you guys check yours and see what it does when you press on the sides/corner edge? I would greatly appreciate it. I am just so anal about phones, I want to make sure it is actually supposed to be like this. If not, I'll exchange, but don't want to wait in a 2 hr. line if they are all like this!

Thank you in advance for your time!!

A question about playing songs

If you listen to music on the phone, can you text and do other things as well while it plays like the sidekick does? Or do you have to stop it, text, then go back to the music section and start all over again? I have the 9800, and that gets so annoying. Thanks ahead of time for feedback!

Watching Saved Videos Off A Memory Card

Does anyone know if the 9900 has a different (better) video player then the 9800 and does it just play 3GP like the other? I have a 9800 and when you play video's that you save on your memory card, when you stop the video you have to start from the beginning of the file. Does the 9900 resume the video from where you stop or does it start from the beginning?
