LG enV VX-9900

Phone went for dip. Took batt out( ruined ) took to Verizon ( no insurance). Bought new EnV @ retail. After letting swimmer dry out for several weeks, put new batt in swimmer and the only thing wrong with it is no sound. Everything is still there just no sound. Any ideas?

I have gotten a small scratch on the external display...does anyone know how to "buff" it out?

How do you stop the signal notification (the audible notification) that says "lost service". I need to know how to turn this notification off.

Occassionally I will pull my phone from my pocket to find it have a red screen that says player error. Does anyone know what this is about? - When I see it I usually hit end or clear and it seems as though it disconnects an internet connection and the screen say goodbye. Anyone experience this? - If anyone knows what this is about please kindly respond...

i have been reading the posts about adding ring tones to the env. I have come to figure the only 2 ways to do it is to 1. buy from verizon, 2. mail yourself the tone.

Has anyone figured out how to do it by loading the sound on the micro sd card? I am getting frustrated, I want to use some custom ring tones, but don't want to have to give verizon any more of my money!

I have paired my macbook with my enV via BlueTooth, but it goes straight to the contact pairing menu. I don't really care to back up my contacts on my computer, what I really want to do is move music from my computer to my phone.Is this possible?

can u set up a text tone per contact on this phone? i am thinkin about getting it... but i dont see any new verizon phones where u can customize the text tone ☹️ thx for any responses

I presently have an EVDO Verizon PC (Kyocera KPC650) card so I can access the internet on my laptop. If I were to get rid of that card, could I access the internet via my enV? If it's possible, what sort of connector/cable would I need to connect from the enV to my laptop? Also, what sort of software would I need to use the enV as a modem to access the internet?

I realize the enV connection will be extremely slow compared to my present Kyocera PC card, but that's okay, because I'll only need to utilize the enV as a modem about 2 hours/week.

whenever i go to put quotation marks in a text when the screen is open (hitting sym then the " key) it always inputs "ya...i" . same thing with the asterik, it always puts *8.

is there anyway to delete these?

is there anyway to send a image from the internet to my phone WITHOUT the use of a computer? Like some kinda image display code you can send to your pix mail with the url of the image. And have the image appear in your pix mail, instead of just some link that doesnt do anything. Does that require some kinda hack code? Any1 have an idea?

Hello, I received an Orange EnV for Christmas a few months ago and sometimes when I am on the phone for a little while (+10 mins) or a few other times, the front screen looks all messed up and distorted. It basically looks like everything is upside down and mirrored, and still messed up at that. The main screen (the large one) is completely gray when this happens. To solve this problem i usually just pull the battery out for a few mins then stick it back in. However sometimes i have to do this several times before the screen goes back to normal.

Has anyone else had this problem? It is starting to get annoying.

My enV suddenly won't save ringtones receved in pix messages. the mp3 file will play fine in the pix message, but when I select 'save as ringtone' the phone suddenly reboots. This has been working fine up till now. I tried deleting a bunch of saved ringtones to clear up space, but no change. Anyone seen this?

i just found out phones have their own specific forums. i just ordered a lg env.
what is a good bluetooth device for the verizon enV. something good.. i seen bluetooth devices go from 29.99 to 150. is there really that much of a noticeable difference?? are all bluetooth devices compatible with all phones?? can someone clarify. thank you. what is a good case for the env. anywhere where i can get a good deal on bluetooth and case.

i just got this phone. vz navigator is loaded already on the phone, do i get to use this for free? On my last phone i had to download from vcast and it gave me info bout charge for using. On this phone its just there and appears ready to be used. Is this the case?

I must have changed a setting or something and didnt know. i cant erase text messages manually. can anybody tell me how to change this so i can?

I selected Abc entry mode for "all messages" under the messaging settings. However, when I start a text on the qwerty keyboard, it starts with abc, not Abc. Is this the same for everyone?

What I'd really like is for it to start sentences with a capital, like my lg vx8100 used to.

Ideas?

I got the 9900 couple of days ago, trying to pair it with my laptop via BT, it goes well until the last part when it asks me for authentication password, i tried 0000 but that don't work, any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
