LG CU500

I have read reviews and researched both the lgcu500 and cingular sync but am not sure which to choose. i have a camera, co that feature is not as important to me, but i will be using the mp3 player and messaging a lot. I would also like to set mp3 clips as ringtones without buying from cingular. Which one should i get?

I discovered this website and I was able to sync my outlook calendar, task and contacts. I was not able to sync my email because we are using Microsoft Exchange. How do you POP or IMAP an Exchange Server?

The problem is, CU500 cannot dial (212) 555-1212 format and all my phones numbers are in this format. It can only dial 212-555-1212. Any hint?

Has anyone tried just a stereo adapter in the CU500 headphone jack?

I have a Radio Shack 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter (aka 1/8" to 3/32"), but this does not have a provision for a mic. The obvious concern is damage to the phone by shorting the mic input to a L or R channel output, or (more likely) to ground.

A buddy of mine (can't take full cred) found this on the Australian LG site. It is software for PCsync, USBdrivers and and Internet Connection tool for Telstra's "TU500", basically a carbon copy of the CU500. Tried everything and it works fine.

i wanted to know if your able to make the phone act like it does on power saving mode, when the phone is about to die, all the time

is there an easy to use software that will down grade a 192 bit rate or higher to lower bit rates
like 128 or lesser
by the way whats a decent low bit rate for ringers

Sorry if this is old new but if you go to your SETTINGS Menu and click on Call and scroll down you will notice a Video Share Option and have the ablitity to enable it

I have the newest firmware upgrade so I'm not sure if that option just became available or its been there since release but this I'm guessing has to be more proof that video sharing is coming out soon and that it will be available for this phone.

Now i'm curiuos on if this option already works for I heard on the forum that the statement for video sharing appears on the bill now so if anybody will hit me up with a private message with there number (for those who have this phoen) I would like to test out this and see if it works. my phone rings for like 10seconds and it cuts off
my razr would ring for like 20-30

i like to dance to my ringtones when they come on so i need it longer

I finally got a USB cable to hook my phone to the PC. I have a 1gb Sandisk mass memory card in the phone. When I attach the USB cable I expect the computer to recognize it as another removable storage device. But the PC doesn't see the memory.

How can I get the computer to "see" my big empty memory chip?

Many of the user reviews say that the phone volume fluctuates, as if the conversation is overcompressed or on a vox circuit. Is this true?

If so, and if I understand correctly from a couple forum posts, this can be eliminated or reduced by some sort of EFR setting.

Can someone explain what's going on with all this? If it can't be corrected, it sounds to me like a deal killer. Something more than a yes or no would be most helpful.

TU500 is australia version of the CU500 Samething

I have always used a website to send ringtones to my phone and now that i have this LG CU500 I cant quite get it right. I send my ringtones to @mms.mycingular.com and when i get the TXT MSG i dont know what to do from there... do i extract data or what?

Anytime i try to extract it disconnects from trying to access the mobile web after about one minute of trying. i have a media package that includes the mobile web so whats up?

I alos know i can put 30 sec or less pieces on my SD card but that doesnt always work either. Any helpers out there would be greatly appreciated.

When i enter in a new number or change a any settings I get a stupid confirmation tone. Is there any way to change that?? Love the phone otherwise

Does anyone know how to set up a recorded voice (recorded on the phone itself) as a ringtone? Like my husband recording a message or my daughter and then using that as their identifier when they call.

I looked at this website and cingulars and either one or both websites say that it doesn't have Wireless Internet,Vibrate,ringer profiles, and voice dialing. So for the people who actually have the phone, what does it TRULY have and not have. Thank-you.

So we get the first Cu500 in stock today in my store. and low and behold the memory card reader in it doesnt work!!!!! man now i have to wait for another one!!!

My two year contract is up with Verizon, and although they are offering me everything under the sun to stay, I hate their phones. I really love this phone and am planning to switch to Cingular, but I'm a bit annoyed at the fact that I won't be able to get anything for free (whereas with Verizon I was able to get a new phone, even though they suck =p). I was wondering if anyone had any experience or knew anything about Wirefly.com? The are offering a free CU500 with a 2 year contract at $40/mo, whereas if I go directly through Cingular I'm going to have to pay like $40 to buy the phone. If I approach Cingular with the Wirefly deal do you think there is any way they'd meet the offer, or is Wirefly shady anyway? Thanks!

So i got this phone is Aug. of this year. and people always say that they cant hear me on it. I can hear them fine thought. I called up cingy and they said I have the best reception where I am so that isn't the problem. I had it replace thought warranty exchange,..and the 2nd phone has the same problems. I called cingy again, and there sending out another one, but i have a feeling that its going to have the same probs. after all, the first 2 did. If the 3rd phone there sending me has the same issue, they replace it with a different phone THANK GOD. Other things i don't like about the phone, Cingular TV isn't all that great at all, its 1/2 the size of the already small screen, and alls you get is previews of shows and news, music videos are a...
