LG VX-8300

Found out the hard way. You have to play with the plug - if it's all the way in, you lose about half the song's stereo. If you pull it out part way, you get more of the song, but not all (it's less noticeable on some songs where the tracks are all blended, but on a song with wide stereo separation, phew).

So take that for what it's worth. I've read online that others have had this same problem with the C220s.

Which brings me to a question - can anyone recommend a set of wired stereo earphones that aren't earbud style, which will work with the VX8300? Thanks.

Can I email entire mp3 songs to my phone? I know how to do the ringtones. Now I want to upload my songs. Can I do it without a cable?

My 8300 was one of the first ones that came out. It had firmware V01 on it. I had no problems.

But I use the MP3 player quite a bit with my Plantronics stereo Bluetooth headset. So, I wanted to be able to use the 2GB memory card which is only supported by V03.

I upgraded. Now, the MP3 player is NOT muted when you put the phone into Silent mode (already caused a couple of embarrassing moments).

Of greater concern, there are several LONGER MP3 files that played fine on V01 that aren't even recognized by V03. This is killing me. I regret doing the upgrade. My father's words are ringing in my ear "If it aint broke don't fix it."

If you have version 3 on you phone and you hold down the front fast forward or rewind button for 5 seconds, then the screen will dim itself and stay on until you hit another button.

ok so recently my pictures are just randomly being sorted into abc order but it only happens sometimes and i cant move them. this also happened to my friend with the same phone. is anyone else having this problem?

can you check your missed calls by using the front screen, onthe 8600 you can read you text messages from the front. but the phones sucks. can you make a reminder beep for missed calls?

It seems that everytime i go into the "Sent Messages" folder and i try to delete an individual message(by pressing the left soft key), my phone shuts off and restarts. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have the LG6100 and would like to upgrade. I purchased the Razr and hate it!!! It is missing some of the features I love the best about my 6100.

Can anyone tell me about these features and the LG VX8300.

* ability to silence phone from outside with phone closed.

* ability to put phone on vibrate from outside buttons.

* vibrate & sound ringtone

* outside screen shows missed calls plus how many?

* ability to set different ringtones for restricted calls

*outside screen shows ALL caller id info for instance name AND number of caller

I have been using the new jawbone (http://www.jawbone.com/) noise canceling bluetooth headset available through cingular. Not only do I (and my listeners) not experience echo and other problems the noise reduction capabilities of the headset are amazing.

I can operate heavy equipment while speaking on the phone and the recipient can't hear the background noise.

this headset has made business calls made in field conditions with the 8300 possible.

I have tried 3 previous headsets, 2 motos and a jabra with mediocre to poor performance.

hey, i just got a vx8300 and activated it on a pre-paid account (monthly screwed me over). i had the vx8300 before and i was able to get free ringtones by sending them thru an email and saving them onto my phone....but it cant recieve pix messages.....no big deal. so, i try vzw tones deluxe (program was already installed on the phone). once i open the program, i get a message telling me 2 upgrade and giving me a direct link 2 it. once i click the link, get it now comes up and says "no items were found". no big deal again, prolly just something wrong with the system....wrong again.so i go back to the get it now menu, go to "get new ringtones" and the only choice i have is sony music box. that would be a problem if the ringtones wernt 5 dollar...

I've just purchased both the VX-8300 and the Blueant Supertooth II handsfree car speakerphone. I've paired the devices successfully using the Handsfree profile, but I'm having some problems getting Voice Commands to kick in automatically and consistently.

Is anyone using the Supertooth II with the 8300? I'd love to ask a couple of questions.

I have a new X3 BMW and trying to get the phone to connect to the vehicles bluetooth but the phone keeps saying no device found. Anyone with success or suggestions??

Do you need a certain bluetooth headset for the music player to work on them? I have firmware version three and the music still wont play over the motorola H500 bluetooth headset. Do you know what headsets will work?

My phone says it is an invalid destination address. I have no idea how to fix it.

I've just purchased a VX-8300. My old VX-6100 had a "Driving Mode," and I used to leave the phone permanently set that way. It allowed me to initiate a phone call while driving simply by opening the flip, which caused the phone to enter Voice Command mode immediately.

Now, unless I'm mistaken, the only way I can get the 8300 to accept voice commands while driving is for me to locate and press the side button, which is pretty awful. Am I missing something? Is there another way?

I've just purchased a VX8300. I do not anticipate using it to play music. What I am very interested in, however, would be a Bluetooth device for my car (with a microphone, presumably) which would allow me to make and receive handsfree phone calls through my car's speaker system. I understand that this might be possible with an FM modulator (whatever that is).

Does anyone know of such a device that would work with the 8300? Thanks so much!

Have any of you had success making ringtones with 1) Audacity and vzwpix.com or 2) voice memo as described by the Rever under Newbie Helps? I have tried this both ways and everything works as described until I send it and get the same disappointing screen "Invalid destination address" Either I am leaving out something or this is not supported by version 3. Any comments/ideas?

In this phone there is an option for Auto NAM... Does that mean that I can have the two numbers on my phone and which ever number is called the NAM will switch by itself the called number?

I'm sure this question has already been asked. How the hell can I get my contacts list on to my phone. Can't seem to find a cable and wondering what to do. Any thoughts?

i have a question about the pictures. so one time i opened my pix and all the pics i had taken were in abc order instead of most recent. i dont think i changed any settings and i want it to be ordered from most recent. does anyone know how to fix this?
