mp3's, wma's, & Mac

I am a Mac user so obviously I maintain my music library in iTunes. I do have Windows Media Player but rarely use it.

Is the A930 Mac compatible? I have gotten opposing answers each time I have asked a VZ rep.

Is it much easier to go with wma files than with mp3's?

I have also been told the phone will not play wma files from iTunes or converted files from iTunes.

Is the LG8300 better in this regard? I am deciding between the two phones but heavily leaning toward the A930.

Cheers!

Samsung A930 or LG8300 or Razr V3M

I currently own the LG8300 but have until the 9th of July to either keep it or exchange it. Here is my problem. I really like the LG but it seems to handle bluetooth poorly. The receiving party complains of echoes. I have swapped it out once already and the same issue persists. I have also tried turning the volume down as suggested but the issue is still there. I have tried 6 different headsets. The next issue is with the voice command/voice dialing feature. It is not real accurate and is awkward. The LG 8100 did a much better job. Does anyone have experience with both the Samsung A930 and the Motorola Razr V3M? How is the bluetooth and voice dialing? I see that the A930 has a dedicated button for voice dial, can it be activated using a head...

I think my earpiece is broke

When listening to people through the earpiece, their voices keep cutting out, like the earpiece is loose or something. Is this a problem with this model. Should I just return it for a new one, I just bought it last night. Otherwise, I love this phone! Thanks.

Extended Battery?

Anyone have any experience with the extended battery in terms of how much time it adds to talk time, etc. Also the weight, look of the battery? I thought I read somewhere that it adds quite a bit of bulk to the phone.

Phone Powering Off (& on) On Its Own ???

I'm having an ongoing problem with the phone periodically powering off and then back on on it's own? Anyone else having this problem???Today it happened twice when I recieved text messages while I was talking (via BT headset) while the phone was charging. Really like the phone so I'm going to exchange it at Best Buy for another one and hope for the best. Hopefully, I just got a bad phone!

Volume Controls

Is there a way to lower the volume for the alarm without changing the volume control for receiving calls? Also, do you know if there is a charge for downloading ringtones, or even just browsing them on the phone?

Thanks.

Created voice recordings into ringtones?

I created my own voice recording and was hoping that the phone would recognize it as an option to be used as a ringtone. It shows up in my sounds, but when I go to change my ringtones for the phone it is no longer there...any help would be appreciated.

Also, is there a quick key to make the phone go just to vibrate only? That way I don't have to go and do that through the tools menu everytime I want to put my phone on vibrate only.

THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

durable??

For anyone who has used the phone for a few weeks: Do you think the phone is durable? It feels so light, I am afraid it would fall apart after dropping it the first time.

Audio Converter

I didn't think I was completely internet illiterate, but I can't find any free audio converting software. I tried xilisoft, wavepad, and a few others, but could only get "free trial" software that only converts 60% of the song, or only converts two songs, or doesn't have the .wma format as an option. Is there any good, free software to convert my mp3's to wma format? thanks for the help

video capture on Samsung 930

Does the video camera stay on if you close the clamshell on the 930? The dealers that have it functional don't really know, and when I try it at the Verizon stores, the camera shuts off when I close the clamshell. Can anyone out there help me? I think the rotating camera wheel is great but I don't understand the purpose if the video camera shuts off when the phone is closed.

Device not detected...

So I installed my music essentials kit. Installed the usb drivers *before* plugging the phone in. After the drivers were installed I plugged my phone in, went into media player, went to the sync tab and all I get is "no device has been detected". When I go to sync music in the phone it will bring up a found new hardware wizard. Then it will search for software but it wont find any even with the cd in. Tried calling tech support, didnt get very far with that. Any tips, suggestions??? Anyone else with this prob?
