Samsung MM-A900 / SPH-A900 / Ace

Alright, so I love the phone and the compact package with so many features. BUT! There are a few items that I need your help sorting out.
1. I'm the proud father of a 3 month old girl and love taking pictures with my phone to send to grand parents and friends, but as those of you who have children now that at this age they will not stay still. The camera has great resolution but the shutter speed is tooooooooooooooo SLOW and I get a smeared picture. Can this be fixed? or is it time to trade in for a diff. Phone. My wife got the 920 because of the mini SD card and her camera is just as bad.
2. I need help connecting my phone via USB. I don't know what software I need to download into my PC to get my PC to acknowledge my Phone. I would like...

I've been a Sprint customer for years. I had the old 5500 for a long time (you know the original blue one) and I loved it. Of course that got out-dated after a while and I was also having problems with the charging port. I currently own the 8300 and love it. Everything but the speakers that is. It's not loud enough when I'm driving. I've always owned Sanyo's but I have the MM-A900 on the way.

This will be my very first Samsung phone. Can others please tell me how the reception is compared to other Sprint phones...and how loud is the phone? Will it be loud enough to hear the other person talking while driving? If not I won't be very happy.

hi guys, i have this phone for sprint and i LOVE it. any idea if it'll come out for verizon? my sister has been bugging me to find out 😁

a new sw version za06 is available updates include bluetooth improvements and the fix which keeps picture mail from being sent out from the pending folder.

and you will find the battery life improve, the posts on here are true, also lowering the brightness of the lcd screen helps.

The only problem with turning off location is when you aren't getting good reception (like my apt) text messages dont come thru as quickly. interesting indeed

Love the a900, but a few questions for those of you who know more about it then I do:

1) do the 3 buttons on the front of the phone do anything? I haven't found it yet if they do

2) is there any way to get the call lists to show the day/time of the different calls, like the SE t608 does?

3) I copied a jpg photo from my pc to the phone via the usb cable. I can see the photo when I go to Tools-Mass Storage-DCIM. But in Pictures-My Albums-In Phone it shows that there is a photo there but there is just an x in the thumbnail and it will not show the photo, even though the info does show how big the file is. How do I get it to open in My Albums together with the photos I've taken with the phone?

I am strongly considering getting a Samsung 900 and want to use bluetooth technology to connect to a Palm TX, also bluetooth enabled. Has anyone been successful doing so? If so, how fast is the connection?

I've read a lot of things people had to say in the a920 forum and review sections about the a900, not so much in here about the a920. I'm about to make a purchase, either the 920 or the 900. The memory card and extra battery life sounds like a plus. It's been a while since the a920 has come out and I was wondering if more people have tried it, switched to it, or if anyone thinks that the a900 is better for any reasons other then the QVGA screen and the way the phone looks, I've played with both phones and I don't like the button placement or feel of the buttons on 900 and I don't care about the better looking screen, 920 not having FTP transfers doesn't really matter either. I've read some people were having trouble with using non samsung bluetooth headsets, is this still a problem? I believe I read that it's because this phone is Bluetooth 1.2, and on Jabras website they say the BT800 is 1.2. So will this work without all the static and distance issues? Anyone have any suggestions on other headsets for this phone? Thanks in advance!

I did a search for "MP3" and found a lot of unanswered and unintelligible threads. Like everyone else, I want to take portions of my favorite songs and use them as ringtones. I also want to import my own images from my Windows XP PC and use them as wallpaper and also use them for images when individual people call me.

I transferred two images over the USB cable and they show up as red Xs when I try to set them as a wallpaper. They show correctly up in the image browser, though. I am able to set pictures I take with the camera as wallpaper, just not imported images. Do I need to import images under a certain file size or resolution?

Hi. I just got this phone last week and it has re-booted on me a number of times already. It seems to happen when I hit the menu button and press "down" twice and then "left" once and then hit OK on Pictures. As soon as it goes into the pictures menu the phone will reboot. I can't determine a rhyme or reason to it...

Has anyone else experienced this?

Ok I'm planning on pickin this phone up next week and I had some questions. I searched through the forum a bit and didn't see these answered.

1st, Sprint Power Vision TV, is it all just pre recorded clips? Or is there actual live tv shows? They always show football, can you watch live games?

2nd, MP3 just to play, can you listen to music without downloading it from sprint? Cause there prices are just plain silly.

3rd, MP3 to ringtone, I've seen that you can do this using a $7/month service (3gupload.com) but can you do it without a monthly payment? Never saw a definitive answer on this.
