~2007~ New Year...Same Cool Phone

I've had some time with my MM9000. Even now it shows up quite expensive on eBay.

Pro: 100% on speaker-phone

Con:
I never was able to have it work with my PC. Since I bought the store display, I have a question. Does/Did this phone ever come with a CD?

I like the smilies especially this one 😈

MM-9000 Latest Firmware

What will the 1.012SP patch do for me? Will it take away any functionality from the phone? The phone is working great as is. I do not want to change the firmware and have new issues like we read about with many Samsung phones

9000 discontinued already?

Went to two different stores, both said the 9000 was just a one-time purchase for sprint and it has been discontinued. I spoke to Sprint telesales who confirmed phone is a "end-of-life" phone. Sales rep said they were shocked since this is a brand new phone and seems to be one of the top rated. Sales rep had no reports of anything faulty, which is why a phone may have such a short lifespan - he also stated there were no internal emails stating this phone was discontinued.

Anyone know what is going on?

songs on minisd

I just bought a 1GB Minisd for my Sanyo 9000 and I am having trouble getting it to work. When I insert my minisd into my computer, it says please insert the car into the "E" drive. At first, it was saying that my card could not be formatted. Can someone please guide me through the step by step for downloading my songs onto the minisd so that I can play them. I have over 150 songs that I want on it so I can listen to them while walking to class.

Sanyo MM-9000 vs Samsung A-940

Does either have full duplex on the speakerphone and real looking
TV?
Which one is the better of the two?
Are there any other better ones coming in the near future that are worth waiting for?
Thanks for any help/replies in making a decision!
I have a Sanyo SCP 5500 now and the half duplex
speakerphone is a pain sometimes!

Thanks, Sirlawrence

Still no bluetooth?

I don't understand why Sanyo keeps leaving this out of their phones. Anyone have an answer? I think that is definitely a disadvantage, imo.

Have a question?

Been doing some research about this phone and i was wondering is they actually made this one full duplex speaker phone or if we are still on half duplex.... This would be a huge plus to this phone if it is full duplex. i currently have the 5600 and i hate talking on the speaker phone. 😁. Thanks for any info 🙂

Sanyo MM-9000: Maybe OK if it was the year 2002

I can't believe they push stuff like this on us. Where's the Bluetooth? The lack of that feature is not acceptable to me, and it should not be acceptable to you. And what's with antenna? That's a sure way to date yourself. Samsung and Moto have figured this one out; come one Sanyo. This phone looks 4 years old and is obviously unpopular (check the reviews and the net). I won't even start about how ugly it is.

Pros
Screen
Sound Quality
Memory Card

Cons
No Bluetooth
External Antenna
Ugly Inside & Out
Very Bulky
Very Long

To motorola1: I meant 0 stars; I was being VERY sarcastic.

But I can see how an average person would miss that. 🤭

Data?

when you use phonescoops compare tool and compare the 9000 to the 8300 it says the 8300 is data capable where the 9000 is not. Does this mean you cant go online through a usb cable on the 9000? with evdo i was looking forward to that.

Ear Piece and Speakerphone Quality

Ya know...

I bought the MM 5600 based on the reviews posted on this site.

For the most part they raved at the quality of the sound of the ear piece and the speaker phone. The quality of both on mine is plain poor.

Until I read tooterbugg's User review here on the MM 9000 I though that my phone was a reject.

These phones are not cheep and most of us do not buy the newest and greatest every time it comes out. It's a cell phone first and foremost. Should not the sound quality be JOB ONE???!!!??? WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP THESE PHONES FOR WHAT THE MANUFACTURER PRETENDS ONCE WE BUY THEM?
