Where's the cheapest you can buy an Apache?

Is there any way to beat the system? I already have Sprint and am not eligible for a discout even if I resign because its based on how long youve had your phone. . .(Please most people go through so many phones in a year .. i think its stupid but whatever) I know ebay is an option .. . Does anyone know where the cheapest you can buy an Apache?

6700 photo info????

I just read a comment on sprintusers.com that says the 6700 adds headers to photos. Quote below:

""9: Why does the 6700 put useless headers on picture files making them unopenable on any other device? Why aren't they standard image files like on the 6600?""

Are these not saved as typical jpg files so you can pull out the sd card, put it in a card reader on your computer to save, view, print the images?

If not, what is the file type? Is it usable to open and save as jpg, or??? I typically take my digital camera jpg files in to Costco, Walgreens, or Wal-mart or upload them to shutterfly to have them developed. Of course I alwo want to be able to email them to my friends/family-will they be able to view them. Is this not an option...

Business Customers?

Did those who currently own this phone purchase it through Sprint's 800 number as a business customer?

If not, how did you purchase the phone?

Thanks,

Screw Radioshack, It's all about BestBUY

Oh joy you can go into radioshack and put it on order blah blah blah... At my store I have 8 in stock as of wednesday... Just came on to check so things and saw that post... So GO Find a bestbuy that is Bestbuy For Business and they will have it about 90% of those stores do... I'm most likely going to be getting mine soon, but I'm debating, I dont really need all the PDA functions, so I'm thinking the Samsung Blade... That phone is going to be pimp... I like the thinness

Sim Card

Does anyone know if the PPC-6700 from Sprint comes with a SIM card, ie works in Europe or the far east, as well as the US?

If Sprint does not have a SIM card PPC-6700, does another provider?

Another option would be to buy one in Europe or the far east that does have a SIM card, bring it to the US and buy a SIM card from t-mobile for instance. Does that work?

ok, one more question

if you've used it to stream music and as an mp3 player...

I can't imagine carrying more than 1 gigabyte of music around, so assuming you load up a 1GB SD card, would you be happy using the 6700 as an mp3 player?

As usual with me, any feedback would be appreciated.

Should I buy this phone or Not?

I have read all the reviews on this phone and the majority love it. I have the Nextel Blackberry 7520 and i am very disappointed with the service and the features it doesn't have. Should I get the PPC 6700?

6700 webpage load

Hopefully a quick answer from someone on the following.

My samsung i500 brings up many internet web pages as full sized, but squeezes the margin from left to right so I have to scroll down alot to see all of the information/links/etc, but don't need to scroll from left to right. This makes it easy to check my email as I just use the down arrow/key to scroll the info.

A couple of pages have shown up completely miniaturized as if shrinking the entire screen that would typically show up on you monitor down to the size of the phone's screen. These obviously don't allow me to click on any links or read the screen.

How are most screens loading on the 6700? Can you visit most sites as if you're on a pc, or are you limited to sites made ...

help please - need more info

I currently have a sprint cell phone and a tmobile sidekick. I am trying to consolidate. I took a look at the Apache the other day at a sprint store and no one could answer my questions. Does anyone know if the email function of the apache is independent of web browser? By this I mean, on my sidekick I get email msgs sent to a screen and the device notifies me immediately. The emails can be read with out signing into a special program or browser.
My other concern is that my home computer is a Mac -Imac G5. Do I have any hope of being able to use this phone with a mac? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Java applet for PPC-6700

I would like to buy the PPC-6700 (Sprint) and use it in conjunction with an address similiar to http://70.107.225.104/index.html . This site works with Java applet. If you click on control on the top of the page, you can pan, tilt, and zoom a camera in New York City. I understand you can use Thunderhawk 2.1 pocket PC edition (http://bitstream.com/wireless/products/pocke tpc/index.html),
which offers a free trial version. Possibly you can also use Netfront or something else as well. If someone has Thunderhawk or any other software, could you let me know how well it works (cell as well as Wi-Fi); possibly how many frames per second, and how responsive the camera is with pan, tilt and zooming. Thanks a bunch !!

Ok so... Release Date??

So I either have good news or dont know what i'm talking about, haha.... I work at bestbuy, i'm basically the wireless supervisor there but I talked to my business manager, and he told me that we'd be the first bestbuy to get these phones... I'm thinking sweet!! Ok so the release date says the 23rd... That is today... Meaning they should come in our next truck, The question is, is that true?? What is the consumer release date... Does anyone know... I have a good feeling the date I have is right but I could be wrong and usually I am... But I've been right a few times with the Samsung 970, ROKR, and LG CE500(whatever the model # is) So anyone got any info on this... Thanks a lot!!

Great DUN device.

My mother could have set this up.

EVDO in the 02910, nothing to drool over, but it's nice knowing that I don't have to pay anymore CrapSpots fees to get a wireless signal.

Tested @ http://ciseweb100.cise-nsf.gov:7123/
running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 169.12Kb/s
running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 423.35kb/s
Your PC is connected to a Cable/DSL modem

and also @ dslreports.com to stattle

Your download speed : 495 kbps or 61.9 KB/sec.

Exchange Server 2003 SP2 & Direct Push

Does anyone know if this Windows Mobile 5 device works out of the box with the new Direct Push and Remote Wipe capabilities found in the newly released Exchange Server 2003 SP2?

Or will there need to be a device update in order for those features to start working?
