Rokr + Video

Has anyone succesfully put their own videos (from their digital cameras or computer files) of any kind of video on their Rokr. I am currently researching ways to make this possible. I use an ibook G4 and was wondering if someone knows of a program to convert video files: mpegs, mpeg4, wav., etc... into 3gp format. Our rokr uses 3gp and if someone knows of a converter or encoder, it would be tremendously helpful. If this becomes possible then can say hello to Rokr Video E1. 😳

how to DJ with your rokr

ok, so i noticed that when you plug headphones into the phone it works just fine. but how about this, using a minijack to RCA cable i tried plugging it into an input on a stereo and nothing happens. i suspected it to be a matter of circuitry and it must be. because when i touch the ends of the rca cable to eachother the sound coming out of the phone will mute just like when you plug in headphones. being that im not an electrician i cannot figure out how to make this work but i know its possible. because when i complete the circuit by using a wire to touch the + to the - on, say, the left side, i can plug the right RCA in and sound will go through the stereo as i wanted it to. however, obviously only one side works.

so for you electricians...

Intelligent mp3 ringtone trouble

Hey, I've tried dragging my ~15second .mp3 to each the "mobile/audio" and "mobile/ringtones" folders and that part seems to go ok. After ejecting my phone I go to my multimedia/sounds menu and there is no evidence of my dragged song whatsoever. Are there more steps to this? I've made sure my phone has about 100mb of data storage space. Thanks in advance for any help..

Again mp3 ringtones

hey i was looking through the forum for a good half an hour and read many of the posts of how to make the mp3s ringtones. I followed them and nothing worked(other than buying the program that one mentioned). I dragged a 300kb cliped mp3 into mobile/audio and mobile/ringtone and nothing worked. One thing i did discover was no space was used in the phones memory, the card was being used. If someone could give a detailed step by step and tell me what im doing wrong it would help alot.

thanks

Stick with the Rokr E1!!!!

I was thinking of purchasing the Slvr L7 but after extensive research, my only suggestion is to stick with the Rokr E1 until they came out with a phone with more storage capacity, better camera, Edge support, etc... The Rokr E1 has the best speakers, rhythm lights and the call quality is excellence. The Slvr L7 has had unstellar reviews, plus the ear piece volume sucks. You cannot even hear the other person on the line. I would just stick with the Rokr E1. Also the Rokr E1 is actually smaller than in length compared to the L7. Here is an extensive review:

U guys

Look this phone is a E398. Ok i agree. the E398 was voted top mp3 phone fo the year by Cnet. So how come people are Critizizing it when it gets put back onto the market with BETTER FEATURES. Dont say its a waste of money eatheir its is great value. It also comew with 256 mb flash card. Thats worh 30 alone. So dont complain about the price. If you want a mp3 player capable of playing 5000 songs. Then a 120 phone is not going to dilver that is it. So go work in Mac Donalds and save some money up to buy a ipod instead of spending ur life on forums saying the Rokr is crap.

Need Help!

I have been researching this phone and have noticed that it has very good ratings. Now I'm looking to buy an unlocked ROKR but I was wondering if they use sim cards or if i'd have to go to my service provider to get it activated. Also, would a gsm 850 service work with the gsm 900 phone? I can't seem to find a ROKR with the GSM 850 service.

Need help with phonebook!

Ok, I've looked in this forum but haven't found a thing. Unless I missed something.

Right now all my contacts are stored on the phone memory. When I chose to copy all to sim, there is now an identical entry for each contact.

I've done the method to have multiple numbers/email per contact and to ONLY show primary contacts, allowing me to use the stick to move left or right, showing the additional numbers or email info. But now I have that info, plus the info on the sim (sim info shows a different icon).

How do I get it back to where it only shows the phone memory info and NOT the sim info, without having to delete all the sim info? If anyone knows, please help!
