LG VX-5200 / 6200

My son just bought s 5200, and we have a question about it. According to the description, the ringtones for it are polyphonic. But on the VZW site, the VZW Tones, which are realtones, is listed as available for it. My question is if he purchases a realtone, will the 5200 play it as real or poly?

Can anyone tell me how to set a sound I recorded to be a ringtone??? I can't even set another ringtone as my ringtone??? My only ringtone I can use is the default tone...help

Can anyone tell me what the ringtones are like on this phone? I see there are only 15. Are any familiar songs? I had the Motorola v265 and it had 30-some ringtones but I didn't recognize a single song. My sister has LG 6100 and it has quite a few I recognize....but the LG 5200 is cheaper so I thought I'd find out what those ringtones are like.....

Has anyone figured out anything new with this phone?

How do you turn on the speakerphone?!?! I just can't figure it out. Also, is it possible to record a sound, but save it to "My Ringtones" instead od "My Sounds"? That would be a BIG help! Thank you

I sent a message to my phone with a midi attached. When I get the message, it allows me to save the sound. After that, I have no idea where it is saved to. Any ideas? Thanks

Does anyone know if there is a way that you can take off or change the verizon wireless banner that is on the front LCD of the 5200 phone when you open the phone?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if the weight on the phonescoop site is the correct weight. It says 4. something and the VX6100 is only 3.88oz and that is supposed to be a bigger phone. Does anyone know?

I Do like my 5200 but being totally new to cell phones i am trying to figure out it's features ones that are not really covered well in the manual.
Example, if i download a animated screen saver on this phone will it move? there are none in the phone that do? also i take a pic for the front photo ID. it is small has white bars on each side. Is there away to get rid of this?
OH i see i can send sounds to people in messages. I downloaded a new sound from Get it Now but it went right into my ring tones is there away i can get it into my sounds to send funny sounds to other people?

Does anyone have problems getting applications for get it now on the lg 5200? It seems like there are not many choices of applications from get it now (like ringtones, wallpaper) at all for this phone and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem?

I forgot to mention that phone seems to have very good signal. I travel mostly in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and I have yet to have a problem with little or no signal. I actually get better service than my brother and sister do with on their 6100s, especially in the difficult spots.

The phone is on Verizon's site for $49.99 on a 2 yr contract.

Is this damn phone ever coming out?

When will this phone be released? My contract with verizon wireless runs up soon. Is this a good phone to get? I hope it comes out soon it looks great, and even better than the VX-6100.

They basically sound like the same phone to me. Am I missing something?

😢 no one seems to care about the poor lg 5200, hasn't even gone into multiplepages and it is coming out this month, oh well we will still sell a ton of them at the 50$ price it will launch at 😁

Does anyone know who will be the carrier of this phone (VX 5200)? I've been looking at the VX 8100 as well (I am a Verizon wireless customer). Just curious if Verizon have this phone...
