Motorola SLVR L7

Okay I have read all of the instructions and still have not figured this out. But im trying to figure out how to get an MP3 song that I loaded on the phone to be my ringtone. I can listen to it but just not play it as my ringtone. I also tried using the MultiMedia Studio, under the Melody Studio, to transfer a song(mp3 format) to my phone but it to my phone but I keep getting "Unsupported Format: (mp3 codec may be inappropriate or missing)".
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just got the L7-- love phone hate iTAP-- how do I disable iTAP for text messaging? I cant find it anywhere?

hey i just flashed my itunes to the version that allows 1000 songs and has a black skin.

before i did this my computer would recognize the phone as a portable storage device and i could browse the folders on the phone memory.

now i cant. is this because of all the drivers i installed on my computer to perform the mod?

I'm considering upgrading to the L7 from the V551. Overall, the 551 is a very very solid phone, so I hate to have to replace it. However, I've having unbearable trouble charging this phone, so it's time for a new one.

I'm anticipating a phone that is the same as my v551, except with a different form factor and of course a music player. Is the volume output on the L7 similar to the V551?

i went under storage device & saw that the phone is not reading the memory card as a storage device. i moved an mp3 over to the memory card via using the windows drag & drop option to get a ringtone out of an mp3 but it is not showing up on the phone. help, anyone.

i just got a slvr l7 & was wondering if there were any other headphones/headsets out there that were suitable for running yet able to answer calls (ie: the ones that loop over your ears & sweatproof)...

OR

is there a way i can connect a personal headphone set to some type of adaptor & still be able to take calls w/o taking off the headphones? (not sure if such thing exists)

i'd appreciate any suggestions or advice to point me the right direction. thanks 😁

Currently she is using a Nokia candy bar phone for her Cingular service. Anyway I want to get her a Pink Moto L7 for her birthday and wonder if it is pretty user friendly like the Razr? It seems to be considering she (and myself included) like these new style phones for their ability to SEND/END function.

ok so the problem is my phone gets to like 92% on sending and sits there. i can get mms put can't send. oh and when i do get one i get it like 3 times. please any moto experts please help. thanks

I dropped my SLIVR last night at a party and the glass crystal shattered. The good news is that I was able to pick all the glass out of the frame and the phone is still usable. My $50 deductable will come in handy but I am not pleased with the performance.

One drop? It fell from my hand as I pulled it out of my pocket. This was honestly the VERY first time I have dropped this phone in the few months I have had it.

I will be e-baying my replacement and sticking with my V551 until I can get my hands on a RAZR V3i

That the SLVR will be replacing Verizon's Motorola E815 in late Q3 or early Q4. Any truth to this?

Alrighty so I'm just curious to know if the SLVR L7 is a good choice for someone like myself who is use to dealing with a flip phone for over 2 years. My contract with Cingular is almost up & I'm looking to both renew it & upgrade my phone.
I've looked at a lot of phones recently & thus so far the SLVR sounds the most appealing. I have a iPod so the 100 song limition really isn't a problem. I would buy a RAZR, but my friends have had a lot of problems with their phones & in all honesty I don't want to be another college girl running around with a hot pink RAZR.
I just want to know from others' experience if the SLVR receives good reception & would be an easy transition for someone who is use to the ways of a flip phone. Thanks so muc...

I just bought 4 Motorola phones, Slvr's and I forget the other other model number but they all have bluetooth.

I want to buy 4 bluetooth headsets (preferably HS850's) but don't want to pay $60-$70 bucks each. Does anyone know a reputable online store that sells them at a good price? I've searched online and keep seeing them being sold for $35-$45 but don't know any of these stores? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have had several Motorolas and the keypads light up. I just got the SLVR and have a RAZR and my keypad doesn't light up like the RAZR. Is my phone broken or does the keypad not light up?

other than, "it's needs to be mp4," anyone know the specs on converting video to a format the slvr can play? also, can it then be stored on the stick or is that only for iTunes? thanks a ton to whoever!

i have no clue why it does this. i have tha foreign kine and i doesnt have itunes. my friend tells me that his customers have it crashing on them all tha time. so check this out, i put about 10 songs in the digital media player and it only plays 4 full songs, 3 halfway and 3 dont play at all. it say error: play failed.

is it cause the bitrate, or something?

🙄 I JUST PURCHASED THE NEW SLVR BLACK ONE BUT I DONT SEEM TO FIND ITUNES OR INSTANT MESSAGING ON IT IS IT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE A MEMORY CARD IN IT

Has anyone owned both these phones? if so which gets and maintains a better signal strength?
