LG VX-8100

👿 I have called up Lg and asked when it will come out. They said that is up to verizon. I ask verizon reps? some are clueless and some don't know when ? Can anyone give some sold info..... damn this is horrible

Is this phone really going to be ruined by that horrible blue front cover? Please tell me this phone will be able to switch that color or just come in silver (which is what it should come in).

I am patiently waiting for this phone. I was going to wait a month or two after the launch...but as time draws closer I am getting much more impatient. I want this phone! 🤣

right now i have the 7000 and i think its a decent phone but im really really wanting speakerphone and bluetooth in a phone (i dont care if hte bluetooth is crippled). im really waiting for the 8100 but im starting to get impatient and im starting to think about the 710 because i dont plan on using the EV-DO services with the 8100. but the thing is i dont really trust motorola that much. its just that the 710 has bluetooth and a speakerphone.

I was reading the reveiw on this website from the show that phonescoop rep's attended and they dont mention any of the functions this phone is going to have. I was wondering if you will be able to take an incoming call w/ the clamshell closed w/ the speakerphone enabled. I see that you can use the mp3 player w/ the function keys on front but it doesnt say anything about taking a call.

Any help is appreciated.

I'd think that LG would put a QVGA on the VX8100 (like the CDM9900) and keep the external display 262K.
The VX8000 takes the best pictures out of all of Verizon's current phone line-up. This is because it has a CCD camera and good lens.
So why does LG downgrade the VX8100 to a CMOS?

What the heck are "clear" buttons for??!! I'm mean, did they really add a whole new button just so...?????? i cant even think of a reason(Gasp). If someone could please tell me why the heck i would ever need such a button, please inform me 😕. Thank you.

Any thoughts on how this phone will stack up against the Moto E815?

I just became eligible for 'New Every Two'...and I'm looking to move away from my Kyocera 7135 into a newer phone. I've decided I have no need for a PDA/Phone combo...The only thing I ever used the PDA for was basic email and address book functions and most of non-PDA phones have address book functions anyway.

I'd also like to get something with a bit smaller form factor than the 7135.

I was looking hard at the VX8000 until I found phonescoop.com and noticed the VX8100 will be released shortly.

Right now, I can get the VX8000 for $49.99 with my upgrade discount. I'm guessing if I wait for the VX8100 I'll be paying about $150 more than that...

My questions are...what real upgrades will there be? I have no use for Bluetooth...my...

does anyone know if this phone have a full duplex speakerphone capability or is it half-dup?

I had seen about 5 Motorola E815's on ebay last month, and was curious why no one was trying to sell the VX8100 on ebay if it is already in the testing stage. I figured someone would try and make a quick $400-$500 (that what the E815 was going for) by selling an unreleased phone.

IS WAT THIS PHONE COMES WITH REALLY BLUETOOTH. ACCORDING TO VERIZON DEFINTION "Bluetooth is a low bandwidth, wireless networking technology designed primarily to replace cables for communication between personal computing and communication devices."

SO IF WE CANT REALLY SHARE DATA WITH OUR PC AND ENCHANGE PICS, GAMES AND OTHER THINGS IT NOT TECHNICALLY BLUETOOTH. WE SHOULD CALL IT WHAT IT IS, GET IT NOW WIRELESS.

I am curious, if I were to use the bluetooth on this phone to get my laptop on the internet, are you charged per minute as you would be a phone call, or does it need to be set up differently and charged differently?

If it is charged per minute, does that mean night/weekend use would be unlimited just like a phone call?

Does anyone know if the blue facia on the outside of the phone be changed to another color?

This person is pre-selling the VX8100 on Ebay saying that it will be available end on April to early May...thought I'd pass it along.
