using headset jack to plug into AUX speakers

I have the stereo headset adapter so I can play my mp3 files that I've stored on the phone through a pair of regular stereo headphones (sound is great, by the way). However, when I try using the adapter with a cable to plug into a pair of AUX amplified speakers, the phone's internal speaker comes back on (it's usually disconnected when you use the headphones) and no sound is supplied to external amplified speakers. Any suggestions.

Thanks

e815 help!

Hi i'd like to ask a question bout pics. Can you send pics to your e-mail instead of a phone number??

Oh and Can you do anything to get rid of the pics that were already in the phone when you got it? like "Martini" or "Seashore" They are kind of annoying.

Thanks

Missed Calls on External Screen?

Does anyone know if it's possible to set up the external screen so that it doesn't switch to the blacked out clock display after so many minutes? I'd like to set it up this way so that missed calls will stay on the external screen (yes, I'm lazy and prefer not having to open my phone to check for missed calls 😉 ).

I noticed that when the phone is charging, missed calls do remain on the screen.

Thanks!

Best case for E815?

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a good case for the E815. The one I got from the verizon store kinda sucks for the following reasons

1) pricy, 20 bucks, as oppose to some online place that sell the same case for $9.

2) bulky

3) makes the very weak vibrate even harder to feel!

would anyone recommend just a belt clip case (you take the phone in and out of) as oppose to a case that's always straped to the phone.

thanks for the advice

dropped call sound???

I am having trouble with a wired headset . It is definately about ready for the garbage can. When the wire is moved, I get disconnected. Can you tell me if there is a setting that will alert me with some sort of sound whenever I might get disconnected from a call? Please advise, this is driving me crazy as I do not realize that the other person is even gone!! THANKS!

Contacts with multiple numbers

Hi,

I've searched and could not find this answer. I am trying to add additonal phone numbers to my new E815 and could not find any instruction from the manual. Does anyone know how I can include all the other numbers on the same entry(cell, home, office, etc)

Just got rid of the LG VX4500 and got this new E815 with Verizon for $20.........

Also, I've used the bluetooth with a Tekkeon EZTalker ET2000, no echo or any problem.

Thanks so much,

Frankie

charging???

🤭 This may sound silly, but I have a question about charging the e815. When the phone is charging, the backlight stays lit on the phone while it is connected to the charger. IS this normal or is there a settingthat I need to change?

MP3s

I would like to know how to play songs on the E815. I saved an audio file song on a Trans Flash placed it in my phone. The Trans Flash was recognized but I wasn't able to play the freakin song. I know I saved it correctly because I then placed the Trans Flash in my Uncles's Nextel i870 and it worked perfectly. What did I do wrong? Please help me in this issue.

Camera Quality

How is the camera quality of this phone? Does anyone have a link to photos that can be viewed online? If not, will someone go to the link, look in the album titled Ken's 6682 (those are pics taken with my Nokia 6682) and tell me if this camera quality is comparable to my Nokia. I sure would appreciate it very much.

How to hack skins?

Trying to customize, so far have been able to use my personal photos on t-flash card for wallpaper and contacts. What's the easiest way of changing skin to something besides the 3 preset choices?

the e815 echo issue

Does anyone know if the e815 echo issue has been corrected? I am worried that this will really bug me as I am severely sensitive to certain noises. Perhaps the great features of the e815 will far outweigh the echo issue (if I even get one that has the issue)?

Also, is there a phone comparable to the e815 that might be coming out in the NEAR future? I really do not care for the outer screen on the e815 and would like something more like on the outer portion of the razr v3c, but do not want to purchase the razr because of the bad reviews and the fact that it does not have a spot to plug in a headset.

Need help with playlists!!!!

Hey guys, can anyone please tell me how I can file my various mp3 files into different categories? Like if I have ten different songs saved on my flash card, 5 rap and 5 smooth, can i create two playlists, and file all songs between the two of them? Then do the songs disappear? I hate having all of my songs displayed all at once, I want to hide them all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

MP3 player question

Does the MP3 player on the 815 let you pause, fast forward and/or rewind?

I mostly anticipate using the MP3 player for podcasts, so these features are important to me if I get a phone with MP3 cpabilities.

If the 815 doesn't do it, do any other phones?

Bluetooth headset echo solution ... Moto H700 ... maybe

This concerns the previously discussed problem of using a bluetooth headset with the E815 and having the person on the receiving end of a call hear an echo of his own voice.

The first try was with a Motorola H500, and the echo was really bad. I borrowed a Motorola HS850 (from a Verizon techie who checked the software), figuring the short boom would help, but the echo was just as bad.

Finally, the Motorola H700 seems to work -- there is no echo, and while the sound quality is not as good as the H500, it is acceptable. I've just tried this out for a day, so no guarantees here. The headset is a bit pricey -- $80+ at Amazon -- so make sure you buy one with a good return policy!

Anyone else confirm that this combination works?

What do I need to connect to my PC?

I have seen the Mobile PhoneTools disc plus USB cable, but if All I want is to transfers photos and songs between phone's transflash card and PC do I need the software or merely the cable???? I would just use PC's card reader but card is so small and fragile feeling I'd rather leave it in the phone if possible.

Thanks

1GB Transflash?

Someone over on the LG VX8100 forum said they can actually use the 1GB card.

Has anyone tried it on the E815?
