E815 holster

Twice now my phone has fallen out of its holster as I got out of my car, even though I'm careful to make sure that I hear the "click" sound when I insert the phone into its holster, so as to make sure it's securely fastened. The first time, the holster actually cracked, causing the phone to fall out, but not the second time. Has anyone else had any such holster problem?

TXT issue W the E815

I've replaced my E815 3 times already. I have an intermittent problem with TXT messages. Every 25 TXT messages or so, the phone freezes, shuts down, reboots and then works fine. I reported it to Verizon they did a software update, still had the problem. Still having the problem they swapped it out (probably to a referb) still had problem, then another software update. Still the same problem then they just gave me a NEW phone and a few days ago I had it happen again.

Does anyone else have this issue? I don't send that many TXT messages but it happens every 25 or 30 messages usually incoming.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Jeff

possible to disable voice recognition?

i personally think voice recognition on a phone is all but useless without a headset, and i don't use one. i know on older firmware versions, deleting all the quick text entries makes the voice recognition button stop working. however, the new firmware fixes that bug. is there anyway to disable the button in the newest firmware? it's just annoying because occassionally when the phone is in my pocket sometimes that button will get pressed and the phone will start beeping. i could lock ALL the keys, but that just makes it a pain to change from loud to vibrate mode, etc..

thanks

blue tooth adaptors

Hi,
I'm checking to see if anyone knows if it is possible to use a blue tooth head set with 2 different phones.
I have a E815 with a motorola h500 blue tooth head set for personal use. I have a motorola I730 phone for work use (non Bluetooth) I was wondering if I get a Jarba A210 bluetooth adapter and hook it to the I730 If my headset would work with eather phones when they are both on. I work on a military base that has outlawed talking on a cell phone while driving, But will allow handsfree headsets.
Thanks,

Does a firmware update delete Get It Now software?

I just got this phone. I'd like to take it to Verizon to get the firmware updated, but I've already downloading some applications via Get It Now. Would I have to redownload them (and pay for them again) after updating the firmware?

Thanks

Is there easier way to save pics?

Does anyone know if there any faster way to save a pic?

Heres what I do now:
1. Hit camera button
2. Take the pic
3. Hit top right button to "Store"
4. Hit down arrow 2 times and hilite "Store Only"
5. Hit top right button to "Select"
6. Hit Red power button to get out of camera mode.

Is there shortcuts to any of these?

DUN...AGAIN

Any assistance in trying to get my 815 to do DUN? Thing is...I have a Mac Powerbook running 10.4.2. I have built in BT and an airport for my wireless network at home...but the BT DUN would come in handy elsewhere. Any suggestions on getting this thing to work on a Mac?

thanks.

Trouble with mp3 ringtones

So I uploaded a few custom 24 sec. ringtones using www.funformobile.com and I have stored them and can play them just fine on my phone, but when I set them as ringtones using ringer ID, nothing happens, no ringer at all. the phone is completely silent. I updated to the most recent firmware too. 😕 Help a brother out!

I purchased the motorola h500 and it is VERY muffled. Could I be doing something wrong to make it sound like this? I thought bluetooth(s) were supposed to be crystal clear! Please advise asap.

text storage: by contact or generally

brand new e815 owner: switching from blackberry (my co shut off the phone service)

Q: is there any way to store text (i.e. the Notes feature on bberry) on the e815? What about the company where a contact works??

Also is there any equivalent to the Memopad feature on the Bberry. tks.

motorola h500 headset--crackling??

I love the h500 headset, it's nice and light. However, I find that when I use it in my home, I get static/crackling . When I am out of my home, it is crystal clear! Is there a reason or adjustment that I need to make? Perhaps the wireless internet is interfering???? Also, it sounds (in my home) a bit muffled. Any thoughts...

headpiece wire shuts off phone?

☚ī¸
I have the e815 and for some reason , the headpiece wire pops out just the slightest bit and cuts off my call. SOmetimes it even shuts down the phone (more so lately!). Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be or has anyone else had this problem? I really do not want to exchange it because then I 'll have to go through the trouble of downloading all the ringtones again!! Paying for them again and awaiting for Verizon to credit me for the first ones. PLUS, then I'll have to re-enter my phone book again (or pay Verizon $10)

Prolems emailing ringtones

I have the Motorola v325 and my son has the Motorola e815. It seems totally random whether or not I can email ringtones to the v325 - doesn't seem to correspond to whether or not the file is a MIDI, mp3, or anything else, or even how long the clip is.

But: I haven't been able to email ANY sound files at all to the e815. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I am hoping that someone will have an idea of what the best bluetooth headset there is for the e815. I love the jabra wired headset, but have had 7 of them break within a year. ANy thoughts? If you think Jabra, then please do say so , I'd be willing to try it.

815 durability? (ie cracking at hinge???)

Does anyone know about the long term durability of the 815? I currently have the V60S and want to upgrade to a new phone and like the 815. I want to make sure that it is not susceptible to the same cracking along the hinge area at the bottom of the display. I have two V60s and they've been replaced 3 times each in the past 2 years.

Thanks
Ken
