Samsung SGH-P207

How much memory does this phone have??

Does P207 have picture ID on both internal and External displays. Basically, can you see the picture of caller without opening the phone? And if so, does the picture take up the entire screen. The LG L1400 does this and I love it, I am looking to switch to the P207 and that is a huge selling point? HELP!

I finally got the new P207. Couple of questions:

1.) Does it have a speaker phone built in? If so how do I activate it?

2.) I want to download music rigntones. Are there any sites (free or cheap subscriptions) besides paying $2.99 per song?

3) It is so complicated. How do I sync it to my yahoo email account?

4) anything else I probably haven't found that I should take advantage of for having this phone. What are its capabilities? I want to maximize all that this phone offers.

I just got the P207 and the only problem i have with it is that the external screen shuts off so i cant see how much battery and service i have or what time it is with out opening it up. The screen goes black after about 3 seconds. Dones any one know how to change this? This is so annoying, the screen is awesome i want to see it not have it shut off. Please help.

i was in class one day with my phone in a holster on my pocket. i lean over, and i heard a sound. i knew my phone was silenced but it sounded like a camera. come to find out, your camera will still make noise when the phone is on silent/vibrate mode. and the holster is very prone to pressing the camera quick button on the side.

I was wondering if you can use the outside screen as a light for the camera becuase it does not have a flash. My second question is whether or not you can change your alarm (ie: use a ringtone as your alarm). My previous phone let me do that, but my current one has a weak little beep that I cannot change, and I refuse to pay money for an alarm program.

On the cingular website it says that P207 does not have a vibrate feature. It is hard to believe that such a phone does not have a vibrate feature. If this is the case then I am definitely not buying it. Could somebody please let me know?

I was just wanting to get some of you guys opinions on whether I should get Samsung P207 or the z500. Both are with Cingular and both have the same retail price.I plan on getting either one on Cingular prepaid plan.I would deeply appreciate your opinion.

As of now, this phone is only available on the internet. I am elgible for an upgrade, so if I buy this phone off the cingular webpage, how does it work getting activated, my SIM card, etc.? Is it all set up when it gets sent to me?

I'm buying a new phone and went through all the features, compared them,but still can't make up my mind. Any suggestions, tips, unknown facts, or something that could help?!

i also just order'd a d500 for me to have along with the 207, and i got 2 blzrs (one for my mom and one for my sister) ... hear they are all pretty tight... holla at me with information if you are familiar w/em.

Is it me, b/c my phone keeps powering off on me; keeps restarting. Now, as im writing its frozen in that state. Its going on 25 mins and its just a white screen. I took the battery off three times. On one of those times, i even took the SIM out...nothing. Im not in the mood to deal with Cingular CS, cuz its gonna be a run-around. Does anyone know why it does this?? if this is a very common problem, there should be a recall!! I was a fan of this phone, but now, i suggest do not get this phone! Maybe im just the unlucky one. 😢

Can someone explain how to sync this phone to Outlook.

I know I need to purchase a data cable. However, I don't know the difference between the $20 cable from Cingular and the $80 cable direct from Samsung. I did notice that the Samsung site noted that their data kit was NOT compatible with Outlook?

I've looked at some of the 3rd party sync software but none of them seem to support this model.

Any thoughts?

I tried following the directions in the book and it does not seem to be working. Does Cinular support this? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I've been calling around and the people I talk to say you can't even GET the phone without getting a plan.

Is it possible to just get the phone without getting a plan? And not have to pay $300 on ebay for it either. 😢 going $200 over the retail price sux...

I've noticed there have been tips and/or advice on getting the P207 via phone order spread out everywhere in the forum, or some plan advice and etc.

So rather than looking for the specific thread you found it at a couple of days ago, and probly save fifteen minutes of looking, post your tips/advice for the clueless here! (that, and I'm kind of lazy to try and find all of them.. teehee) But first we need some tip donaters, so if you don't mind retyping them... (*hinty hinty*) 😁

Besides, you'd want to get as much advice on ordering by phone with Cingular, 'cause their costumer service sucks monkey butt. 😛

This is probably not new information for some but I called up about 5 different cingular stores and they all said that they have recieved notification of the p207 coming to the stores. They said sometime with in the next few weeks. They dont have any other information besides that on the phone though. No price... nothing. Has anyone else heard anything different or more up to date??

hi i just got a SE z500a about 3 months ago and I hate it. Way too big for me. The phone is in perfect condition with a face plate problem (slides of real easily) which probably could be fixed by getting a new faceplate. Anyway, i was wondering if it is possible to get a trade in and how much would it pay out. Also if anyone wants it here i can arrange something. Just wondering.

Will this phone eventually come out in cingular stores, not just online? If so does anyone know when?
