Release Date...?

Does anyone know when this phone is coming out? Or maybe a prediction of the price?

Cost and Release Date

The info states that this phone will be released in the first quarter.

Actually when?
I would like to know an exact date, because I am deciding between this an its LG counterpart (A7110).

The A7110 says that it will be out by the end of this month.

How much will it cost?
I am not sure of Cingular's price scales.

Does anyone think that it will cost more than $200?

Best Price?

My phone is slowly falling apart and needs to be replaced, I was hoping to get this phone. But for 300 dollars its too much. Is this the best price we will see for a while? How long do you think it will be before it drops. I know its brand new and all....but 300??? Ouch.

no speakerphone?? lame!

As far as I can tell--no speakerphone. For a $300 phone, I would expect that. Oh well.

Better than the other Samsungs.

I took this one home to play with last night and I have to say that I am impressed, at least as far as Samsungs go. It didn't drop calls like the x427 or e317, It got better recption in my apartment than any other phone I have used (which is the biggest suprise to me), and the camera works very well. I like the spring action in the slide mechanism and I like that you don't have to open it to make or answer calls. I did't like the screen so much. It's great in manufactured lighting but is very difficult to see in natural light (It was clear yesterday afternoon and the screen was very difficult to see and overcast and darker this morning and the screen was even more difficult to see). I also don't like that it doesn't have bluetooth, for ...

Hey look it's a camera, that allows you to talk in to it. The multi-media functions are great just too bad that it doesn't have Bluetooth or speaker phone. And the $300 2yr contract price is about what you would expect to pay.

european equivalent?

is there one? i mean the site does not mention it at all, and i really dont want to be running around with a cingular branded piece of equipment, not to mention i want triband w/ 900/1800 as opposed to 850/1800, it does not appear that there is one which is strange for samsung....anyways, if anyone has anymore info let me know, i will continue to research it as well

Mp3 player w/o speakerphone

since this phone doesn't have speakerphone do you think the volume would be good on the mp3 player? Also others have mentioned the price of around 200. Is that with a new contract or to just buy the phone? Thanks

What happened to T-Mobile?

It seems as if LG and Samsung are dealing with Cingular and Sprint users' needs but not anyone affiliated with T-Mobile.

Am I wrong Rich Brome?

I would like to see a megapixel phone with video capture for T-Mobile.
Is there anything coming out like that for T-Mobile?

Thumb covering service provider logos on all LG pics!?

Is it me, or does it appear like you're purposely covering up the service provider logos on all the pics of the LG phones? In all the pics, your thumb and index finger are right where the logos would be located. Just looking at the pics of the VX4700, your thumb is right where the Verizon logo would be and in the pics of the F9100, your thumb and index finger are covering the locations of the Cingular logos. I'm assuming that LG told you to do that before taking pictures but everyone already knows that the VX4700 is for Verizon and F9100 is for Cingular. The logos are also covered in the pics of the other LG models.
