Palm Treo 650 (CDMA)

I just received the Treo 650, but I seem have some problems with the ear speaker and the speaker phone. I received a 650 two days ago and returned it because the sonud quality of the from where u place your ear to hear from, sounded as if the little speaker had blew. It sounded like a cracking or sound. the speaker also sonded like that. I returned it and just received a new 650 today. Once again I am have the same problem. Its not too bad,but its as not crisp. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Thanks in advance:-)

😁 Finally convinced my wife to let me get it. I've spent all day Saturday setting it up and "syncing" with my computer. Bought a USB bluetooth transmitter from CompUSA for 29.99 and had a heck of a time getting the phone to connect to the PC. I had previously used the USB cable with the phone to PC connection and my problem turned out to be setting in the Active Synch software concerning the correct com port. Once I got that solved everything worked wonders. Synched my Outlook contacts and e-mail, tasks etc. Also took some picts and transferred them to PC. I'm looking for some handwriting recognition software. Any suggestions?

So does anyone have some honest info about upcoming verizon PDAs? I know that other carriers have good ones coming out, but I wouldn't give up verizon's service for a phone. I know that the 650 will eventually come out for verizon andI have already scoured this site, mobilemedia and howardforums, but I can't find any more decisive information. My plan is up earlier next year so information regarding anything that is rolling out at the end of the year would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed several posts inquiring about Treo 600's for sale. I have switched from VZW to Alltel and no longer need my 600. It's in great shape. Screen has been protected with overlays and I have several accessories. Let me know if you are interested! jscottpco@hotmail.com

the treo 650 came out for cingular today and is in stores and on the palmone website. this is bullshit...when is this stupid thing coming out for verizon?!?!?!!?

If it does support voice / real music, does anyone know what formats it supports out of the box (qcp, amr, pmd, etc.)?

has anyone done a self install of one of these car kit? i need alittle help. i dont want to use the stock car speakers so i am using another side monitor speaker but the positive and neg wire they supply on the ck3100 seems to not make the speaker loud enough. i can barely hear the sound. am i missing another wire or is this unit defective?

When will the 650 be available through Cingular?

I was a little dissatisfied with my purchase of Ringo Pro V4.27 for the Treo 650. Ringo Pro works great for assigning MP3 tunes to individuals in you contact list. It is also suppose to be able to assign MP3 tunes to groups in your contact list but this feature does not seem to work. It could be that it cannot handle a 1GB SD card. I'm not sure what the problem is but Electric Pocket has some work to do.

does anyone know of any good bluetooth car kits? preferable ones with the lcd screen. i have found the nokia 616 and parrot ck3100. is there any other ones? and i dont even know if the nokia 616 will work cause it is not available for the united stated yet, only here as early as mid 2006 . please post any web sites

i have been looking long and hard on the net for a case that looks good, good quality, and has a detachable belt clip but no luck soo far. aslo i have been looking for a car kit with blue teeth 🤣 but the only one i have seen that looks perfect for me is the nokia 616 car kit. but does anyone know if this will work with the cdma treo 650 purple tooth system? also any recomendation for the case as well?

i read online somewhere yesterday that palmone is giving out free SD momory to make up for the lack of internal memory mistake. does anyone know if this is true?

Some very gifted people (chief among these, "Shadowmite") who happen to have some very appropriate and specialized skills have miraculously been at the right place at the right time to help each other accomplish something quite special.

Just last night, (Dec 15, 2004, about 11pm EST) they managed to hack the T5 (a PDA) driver released with PalmOne's new SDIO WiFi card so that it will work, roughly, with the Treo 650.

The hacked driver is very rough at the moment, but the fundamentals seem to work!

Again, these guys have been working on this without the benefit of source code.
