Hows the paint?

I was wondering how durable the paint on the Sanyo 5600 is? Will paint wear off while rubbing in my pocket, or in and out of the holster?

Easy way to get 3gp

OK ya'll... I got the best way out... It's called "Multimedia Converter Pro" It's meant for nokia phones it seems but works amazing on the Sanyo 5600... I have put a couple simpsons episodes and other card on my new 1 gb mini sd card, we got one in to test out and all and well i'm the geek so I got to do it and i'm keeping it, haha... I got like 5 simpsons episodes, some friends, some mythbusters, and a stupid kids show for the cousins to shut them up at family parties, plus a good 50 or so songs... It's amazing.. But get that program, works good and really quick for the size of the files... I"ll try to get the website I downloaded it from, but no promises.. I forgot to write it down, but I'll look back in my history... Hope this helps... I'...

Have a few questions. Please help.

First, is there any way to make the external screen match what's on the internal screen? I.E. the little buddy or the color scheme.

Second, do any games come with this phone or do you have to download them?

I know I have more but just can't think of them now. TIA for any replies.

Speakerphone..

Can somoeone please explain how the speakerphone works only in half-duplex? Like, what's the difference between that and full-duplex? Do I have to push a button to talk when it's on speakerphone?

Also, will I be able to talk to people while the phone is closed? Thanks.

Anyone know where I can download a better date book/scheduler?

I am hoping to find something a little more user friendly than the scheduler that is already in the 5600, anyone know of an application that can do this?

I believe there is a better phone book/email program that is available as well, sprint guy where I bought the phone mentioned it but completely forgot the name 🙄 ... any help there would also be appreciated!

Thanks! 🙂

Mp3 music

Can anyone tell me how to put more than 3 mp3 songs on the phone without buying a bigger card. I tried to put whole songs on the card in mp4 and m4a format and it compressed them really well but the phone will not let them play in ringers or video. Is it because the file is to large to be a video? Any help is greatly appreciated.

3500 to SPH-N300 to MM5600 to A800?? in 2050

3500 to N300 to MM5600 to A800?? in 2050

I do not have enough experience with cellphones to rate the Sanyo MM5600 phone effectively. It was because all of your comments and other research that I purchased the Sanyo MM5600 from bestbuy yesterday. The Sanyo 5600 is the first phone I have purchased since the Samsung 3500 in 2000. I had problems with it so through Sprints Insurance program a year and half later they sent me the Samsung SPH-N300 because they were out of 3500 so I had to take the SPH-N300 or wait. I didn’t wait so I received the N300( which the 3500 looked better). I then canceled my insurance because I could have gotten a phone I wanted for the amount of money I had paid insurance. I have had the N300 ever since until it f...

why is the 5600 display different from the real thing

I was at a sprint store looking at the 5600 when i noticed that the display had the regular sanyo click when you open or close, and also there was no crick . but the real phone did not have the sanyo click but had the cricking noise when you put it to your ear... why would they be different? or will it be changed??

Night PIctures

just a thought off the top of my head, but if enough people complain about the night pictures to sanyo, wouldn't they be able to just make a firmware update that would include a 'night mode' so that the camera can stay open for a slight bit longer and absorb more light? i'm sure its really not THAT hard. so what, the pictures are a little blurred. better than not seeing any at all. thats the ONE gripe i have about this phone......oh yah, also the fact that took away my internet :-(

but i still love this phone

lemme know what you think. being an engineer, i really don't see the difficulty in this.

3GPP Ringtones in the MiniSD

So if you guys have noticed, all the videos that you take and save in the miniSD are 3GPP files. Well, Quicktime pro will convert anything to 3gpp... including M4A files. So my idea is to converta an M4A into 3GPP. This would enable us to use ringtones off of the MiniSD. Any Thoughts or comments? The program to do this with is Quicktime pro. Its 30 sum odd dollars and im too cheap to buy it and have the idea not work... So anyone know if it will or not? Thanks

Returned the 5600 back to Best Buy today!!!!

😕 Returned 5600 back to Best Buy today. I can't afford paying $465 inc taxes for a cellphone. Im happy with my Sanyo 7400 until something better comes out. I want a cameraphone that takes good pics in the day and night. A phone with EV-DO or Bluetooth is my next phone. Bye Bye 5600.

Free Phonebook Transfer Made Super Easy

I just figured it out! No work needed! Ok first you have to get the latest version of BitPim. (Search for it in Google) Once you have it downloaded plug the old phone in to the USB. Then select Edit>Settings>Select whatever phone you have and hit ok. Then go Data>Get Phone Data and wait for it to load all of your phonebook entries. Once this is completed hit ok and unplug your old phone. Now plug in your Sanyo 5600 then select Edit?Settings>Select the Sanyo MM-7400 and hit ok. Now go Data>Send Phone Data and it will properly load your entire phonebook in the correct order no editing required. Any questions let me know!
