Sanyo MM-7400

I'm thinking of purhasing the 7400. I have been a user of a Nokia for a while and enjoy the great pc suite software they have. I have tried the USB cable on the Sanyo 8100 and didnt like it at all. I tried Snapsync and bitpim neither was very good.

Does anyone know if things have changed for the 7400? I like making reminders on either outlook or the phone and having them sync up. Also it saves money buying ringtones if you have a cable and gettting photos off the phone is easier than emailing them etc.

Should I get this phone or wait for the 5600? 😎

My Music Choice does not work (preview channel or full channel). Does anyone else have that problem? Getting error code M32 or M29.

I'm thinking of getting a data cable for my 7400, primarily for internet with my laptop but also to move pics and rings to my phone and off of it. If I just buy a cable, do I need other software to do this?

i just upgraded my phone to the a700 and i still have 16 days to decide whether to keep it or not. i am really confused right now.

i like the a700 in terms of everything, except that i had problems lately hearing it ring in public places. i missed plenty of calls even if the ringer is set to 8. other than this problem, i like every bit of it.

i am wondering if the ringer in the 7400 is loud enough to be heard in a crowded, public place; like when you're walking outside with cars passing by, or in a bus stop, etc. also, i would like to know if the camera is close enough in quality to the a700. i like the clear pictures of the a700, but quality like that of the a680 is good enough for me; does the 7400 at least matches the a680...

I have the sanyo 8100. I like the earpiece sound quality and screen quality. I hated the camera quality and the sanyo ring volume. Should I get this Sanyo 7400? 🙂

How does the photo quality compare to the VM4500? Are the pics any sharper/clearer etc? Also does the speakerphone work better =wihout that "clipping off" if there is noise or someone talking over the other? thnx in advance.

This seems silly, but I can't seem to be able to 'click' a button in the browser. I am trying to log in to http://photos.yahoo.com from the phone. I see the page fine, but can not log in. Am I missing something simple, or is this a bug?

Which phone is a better all around phone for call quality, signal, reception, camera.

How many photos can it hold on each resolution?
Does it zoom on any resolutions?
Does it take ok pics?
I have the kyocera koi, but for a megapixel camera they dont look that good of pics, I heard this phone takes almost as good as pic as is a great phone.
Also can you assign pics and ringers to contacts?
Does it have external caller id?
Can someone one let me know, cause im in my trial period and thinking about switching.

day two, speakerphone clarity is impressive. animation is annoying, but you can turn it off.

Does anyoe know when Iowa stores will have this phone. I live in Cedar Rapids, IA

This is one of the ugliest phones i've ever seen. ill deal without speaker phone and keep my a-700 thank you very much.

why is this so highpriced, even with a 2 yr contract.

it looks pretty cool, i thought it was supposed to have a megapixel also. is it truely going to be 'rugged' though? all the sanyos ive seen have been frail except for the 4500 i got last christmas, although its been taken good care of. wish sanyo would stop being so cheap and give us a decent base charger with the cell, i bought a base charger and all i got was a base and no power adapter, i had to buy a sepereate travel charger to get it working, owning a sanyo is phreaking expensive, im seriousely considering a samsung or lg now.

All in all the phone I am sure that 7400 will keep up with the sanyo reputation. Sanyo has always had the better functioning phone. They just need to work on there features they offer. A good example is that they still have not offered a Mega Pixel camera. And come on look at there Voice dialing it is still in the stone age.

because Sanyo makes phones exclusively for Sprint, they do get the best reception. (they are more sensitive to the towers)

and i agree that this phone is ugly as hell... i've never liked Nextel's phones and why Sprint is making phones like that i will never understand...
