Is it possible...

To use this phone with other companies like Verizon or Sprint? I've hear of people "Buying it outright". What does that mean? Thanks for the help. 🙂

Custom Graphics

I'm thinking about getting the 7100t, but I have a quick question. Does anyone know if you can download other graphics/themes/backgrounds/icons on the 7100t b/c I really don't like the way the graphic interface looks. If you look at the 7100v (the European version), the graphic interface is so much more sleek and modern.

Battery Usage

Any word from anyone about whether RIM is going to introduce a more longer lasting battery than the one that is shipped with the unit? This battery cannot handle the work load.

Viewing Attachments

🙄 After a month's agony of waiting for the new toy; finally got it in my hands on 30Sep. As always, the joy is very short as one has a list of things that do not meet expectations- battery life, the "intutiveness" that one sees in some of the comparable gadgets these days (PLAM/TREO...)- but still this may be a toy I will keep as it finally allows me to convert 2 gadgets into one (Nextel phone and an old RIM-Berry). Now question- what do i need to do to see attachments. One of the websites had posted that I just need to click on the attachment at the end of the message- does not work- anybody have a solution........
thanks

A detailed personal review of 7100t!

Just picked up my new 7100t!

1. Screen is very bright, even at a reduced 60% display brightness! It's the best screen I have seen from any handheld device to date.

2. Although it took a little while, once the email account was set up, the email feature works great! Large screen with plenty of text viewing is simply wonderful! The Blackberry strength really shows on this feature.

3. Outlook synchronization works very smoothly.

4. SureType works fairly well. You can choose the right spelling selection as you type, even if the phone doesn't recognize properly. Besides I really like the keypads on this 7100t much better than that of Treo phone. Treo keypads are simply too small even for my small fingers! 7100t allows me to typ...

Best price?

So I thought Amazon.com would have this for the best price. They finally put this on their website, after me sending them a bunch of messages, and they had it for $199.99 with a $200 mail in rebate, making it free. Awesome, right????

Well if you go to:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00032IAWA/re ... »

You'll see that actually, they don't have it in stock, and are not sure if or when they are getting it. So any input on where I can get one cheaply (

T-Mobile 7100T

Has anyone out there had their hands on one of these? The articles have not been too favorable regarding the keyboard. I was hoping someone could let me know how the "Sure-type" really works. Meaning does it work well in normal business or personal use. Or just quick chats.

IF anyone gets to play with one please post your thoughts

Web browser and icons...

Hello, I bought the Blackberry 7100t from a T-Mobile store on 10/2 and it was 299.00 USD with a $100.00 mail-in rebate. I have been a customer for several years and recently upgraded on 9/25 so you might want to look at that. My question is that my 7100t did not come with a "IM" icon nor a "Globe" icon for web browsing as it shows on the box. I have T-Zones but it is not compatible I was told. If I sign up for the Blackberry Web Client service, will the icons show? or did I get a faulty unit?

Although, I am very pleased with the unit having used Blackberries in the past. The screen is flawless, sound quality is good and navigation is fairly easy. Like the fact they have the belt case in the box. Phone looks very complicated at first, jus...

I think mine was used... ???

So, I just brought my 7100 home, and if I look at the call list and the address book, it's full of calls and a CRAPLOAD of addresses in my area that are obviously not my own (unless I made a call to the ABC or Diebold lately).

At first, I almost thought I had the wrong SIM card; however, the phone number is the same, so that's not the case.

Though I think I know the answer, should I take it back to them tomorrow and say I want an actually NEW phone. If I'm gonna drop $200 on something, I'd at least like to think it doesn't have a previous history.

Whatta y'think?

Keyboard

I currently use the "Blueberry" with T-Mobile. I have become a very adept thumb-typer. For those who are using the new 7700 and have had a previous Blackberry, how does the email typing work? Can you speed type like on the old ones or is it awkward to get used to the new keyboard layout?

Web Surfing

I'm thinking of getting the 7100 when it comes out. How is a BlackBerry when it comes to web surfing?
