Ringtone

Is there a way to assign specific ringtones to each caller? Does anyone know where I can download better ringtones, 'cause the one on the e315 is kinda like a joke.

Wow, it's free!

After reading the posts in this forum and the user reviews, I decided the SGH-E315 is the phone for me. When I went to order it on tmobile.com, I was amazed the phone is being offered free with new activation. Ends 12/12.
I'm so excited I'm having it express shipped overnight.

Finaly MP3 Ringotne!!..Sort of

OK, There is finally a way to get real tones on your phone, BUT there is a catch. You have to have web service on your phone. Like T-Mobile users have to have the Unlimited Web which is 5.99 a month. If you get that, you are good to go. Go to http://www.smashthetones.com and make an account. Follow the easy steps and you will get a real-tone ring tone in no time!

E315 & Ringtones

The E-315 uses a specific ringtone format...
it needs to meet precise specs to work...

size limitation... a certain Audio codec... and bitrate... etc... I have a friend that has all the info.. I will post it soon...

And have been thinking about starting a web site containing instructions for other E-315 users... and maybe some free downloads for their phone...

(maybe even a wap interface for it)... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Photos from e315 to computer?

Can you transfer photos from the e315 to a computer over a data cable? In looking at web sites for the software (EasyGPRS, Handset Manager), I don't see a definitive answer. They indicate you can download images to the phone (e.g. for wallpaper) but are not clear about the other direction (phone to PC).

Thanks.

Problems- Solution?

Hi. I just got the e315 and am really happy with the form, but find the function pretty lacking. Iโ€™m in Seattle and my reception is spotty at best- I can be sitting in the same place and drop from 4 bars to none mid-call. My bf's 4 year old Nokia got better sound quality and reception in our apartment than this one does (on AT&T just before the Cingular buyout).

Has anyone else had this problem? I want to give the e315 a fighting chance, but if this is a common issue Iโ€™ll switch to another model.

In that vein, has anyone found a phone with similar features but better call quality? Iโ€™m on T-Mobile and their phone selection doesnโ€™t seem that great right now.

DataPilot Help

Just ordered the E315, replacement for the awful CF62T.
I would like to know if the DataPilot software and USB cable works well with this phone. I'm especially interested in up loading pictures from my computer to the phone, and possibly some midi ringtones.
I would also like to backup the SIM card. Thanks for any info. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Instant Messaging?

I played around with this phone at the store and noticed it had IM built in. But, it was only AOL IM and ICQ. ICQ? Why did they choose ICQ over the other 2 main IM services? Yahoo and/or MSN would have been a better choice in my mind. Anybody know why they chose ICQ? And, is there a way to get Yahoo or MSN IM downloaded to the phone, perhaps?
