Does anybody know how to put a certain part of a song as a ringtone?

Can anyone tell me how to use the USB data cable that is included with the phone? Can I use it to send camera pics to my PC?

Hey, has anyone here tried it since it has become available for the phone? I really wanna try it, but i want to know if the frame rate is as low as the demos look on other phones.

BTW, i love my s710a, but i would love a w800, but since they arn't going to make an american (850) version i guess i'll stick with my s710a, thanx for any responses i get

I just bought a 128mb card (duo not pro duo) and i formatted it using the sony software. i can add and remove files on the card when it is attached to my computer, but the phone will not read it, it says "insert memory card" Any suggestions?

hey i am wondering if the blue tooth on this phone is good or not. i orderd mine and should be here soon, i am thinking of getting a bluetooth ear peice thats why i ask. thanks

So ive wanted this firmware sooo badly b/c mine came with the old one R1A... it was slow.
Finally i got sick of the slow/non-responsive keypad, i did a warrenty exchange via cingular's website. My replacement phone came with the latest firmware 😁 😎

Pretty cool. I applied for the replacement, 2 days later they sent me the replacement phone as well as a shipping label and packageing to send back to them.

cost nothing.. and i was about to send it to a website to have it updated.

Good solution for anyone who us past the 30 day return policy but within a year of owning the phone with cingular.

I added an mp3 file to the phone (copied it from the memory stick to the phone's memory). I can play the file on the phone just fine when I view my files, so I know it's on there. But if I set the file as the ringtone, it doesn't work. It SAYS the file is the ringtone when I got into my settings, but when someone calls, it doesn't play it. It reverts to one of the default cingular tones that came on the phone.

I thought maybe the file was too big, so I tried with a 5 second mp3, as an experiment, and got the same result. For some reason it just doesn't like the MP3's I'm adding. It will play them from the file list, and it will show them as the ringtone if I set it, but it won't play them for a real call.

Any suggestions? Is there ...

Hey guyz, i just bought phone last night and i tried to figure out how to load up some mp3's into the phone but i can't find out where to plug in the usb calbe it doesn't go anywhere and i tried using the manuel but can't find anything so if you guyz could help me out i would really appreciate it.

This forum is for anyone that has not yet figured out the function of some part of the s710a, my question is if anyone knows why the charging light sometimes blinks red when its off the charger. I cant figure out why its blinking, unless it means roaming, because in the manual it just says charging light. Anyone?

I transfer voice mail from my old phone to S710a and save it in the phone memory. The problem is the phone cannot read the files and the file size is unknown. I cannot delete them. It always said Memory full. Anybody know how can I delete them

I am going to get this phone and would really like some true feedback from people who actually have and use this phone. How durable is this phone. How loud are the ringers on this phone. How does the " speaker phone" sound on this phone sound- clearity. How do the pics and vids turn out on the phones camera. How is the battery life- both talk time and stand-by time. And the signal strength on this phone. That is all my questions for. Thanks for everybodies help.

According to that site, those are the list of memory stick that work and some are even bigger than 128mb.

How much does the phone cost if i just get the phone. Cuz i just need the phone? Thanks.

I'm looking for a form-fitting case for the S710a that will enable me to use the form without first having to remove it from the case. Anybody have any recommendations? So far the only thing I can find is a Krussel case:

Hi, i download the Image Editor 2.11.6b from the Sony Ericsson Website, and i transfer pictures from my laptop to the phone using infrared connection, and the resolution of those pictures now are very bad. I know that software reduce the picture sizes, but the picture quality is worst !! Somebody knows??

DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT, BUT IVE BEEN HEARING THAT ONCE (AGAIN ONCE) CINGULAR LAUNCHES PTT, THE S.E. S710 WILL BE ABLE TO SUPPORT IT, WITH A PROGRAM OR WITH A CARD OF SOME KIND. DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THIS TRUE, OR IF IT IS EVEN POSSIBLE CUZ I THINK THAT WOULD BE WICKED COOL.

I'v had this phone for about 2 weeks now. I've been using aim, but my buddy list never shows up. Is there a way to bring my buddy list over to my phone. It doesn't automatically add them.

Is there anyway I can unlock this phone so I can use my AT&T sim card.

i am currently under contract with cingular and was wondering where the best place to find this phone for the best price without a contract other than ebay. If anybody knows please let me know. Thanks for the help.

I renamed a photo with the copyright logo and the photo disappeared. Not only did that dissappear but also all the photos that cingular put on the phone. It also deleted my "Camera Pictures" folder. However, the memory status still says that the pictures are there but I can't view them. What do I need to do?
